Tip: Switch palace switches normally disappear if you replay the level. However, if you insert them as direct Map16 and use the hex-edit at $00EEB2 in the ROM map, you can replay the level without a problem.Not logged in.

it seems that eggman and bowser have crossed paths and kidnapped Tails and Mario.

I'm interested in seeing how Ice, Penguin and Propeller Sonic look. I assume the red one is fire? So far a really good hack but on title screen seeing sonic with luigi and the toads is weird, can you make them tails, amy and knuckles for 4P gameplay?
Only Mario and luigis mod can replaced they will be sonic and tails. The toads have to be the same although you can technically replace their model, they share that model with the toad house toad and you wouldn't want two knuckles and Amy's running around the would you? Nor would I want to see Amy whenever I go into a toad house.
Propeller sonic is super sonic and penquin sonic is Mushroom Sonic with a life vest on him.

Doesn't look decent to me at all, the background is ugly and blurry, can you fix? Also sonic being a dwarf.
While the graphics are amazing, the design seems to look the same. Try to put some more Sonic obstacles and if you know some ASM, you could allow the player to run on walls if he gets high speed like it happens in Sonic games.

uh no, i can't cause someone made it for me and i don't know how to edit since it's animated so sorry? also i didnt make that sonic model, so you can tell the creator that, not me. asm is not like asm in smw. you have to be a PRO at c++ And have to edit newer's source code and somehow reimport it. and it only works on mac by the way.
And instead of adding more enemies, i could import sonic enemy models over the mario enemies.
Also those bg's were made from sonic 1/3 bg's so of course they would be blurry.
I don't hack SMW and alright then, have that horrible tileset and background and throw away other people's suggestions.
No offense Greeny, but that last part wasn't directed to you. it was directed to BingleJells21. I'm sorry for being so harsh, (but it's the truth) i can't fix those bg's. how would you feel if i wanted you to trash something you worked so hard on? (i dont know if you did anything, im just saying it as an example.) (i have feelings to, just like you) but although nsmbwii hacking may seem easy, it's a bit harder than smw as nsmbwii is more strict with what you can do.

ASM in SM64 isn't like ASM in NSMBW.

About the backgrounds, even if you got a high quality rip it still wouldn't look good because it would be a 16 bit background against a...Wii foreground. I recommend using more stuff like the rip in the city screenshots.
Well even if i wanted to rip the bg, or a hd like version of it, the bg has to loop. The reason that i haven't gotten rid of those 16-bit bg's
is because they are very special since i remember playing a not for resale copy of sonic 1 on my dad's genesis at 6yrs old so that game kind of feels special and i wanted to feel that experience again by asking a user on rvlution, to make these bg's for me, they are animated to by the way.
(forgot to mention, mario's voice will be replaced by sonic's and there will be animation changes, since you can change voices and replace or change animation's with another one)

Anyways, I understand you but because they are special to you doesn't mean you shouldn't change it, self opinions are never good, you are making this mod for people to play, not yourself. Do you think people would play something they don't like?
I understand but what should I replace them with? I can't find a alternate solution.
These screenies i never showed as i felt they had no purpose.
but i thought i should show them anyway.
These are in the same levels, just showing that i changed sonic's standing, jumping, walking, penguin sliding, sliding on slope, moving on the floor in water and going through doors animations, to him running, going into a ball, and other things.
these animations exsist in nsmbwii, i just swapped or replaced some.

I know I don't have room to talk, as every attempt I've made to make a custom NSMBWii character wound up crashing, but could you try and see if you could increase Sonic's size a bit. The main reason I think he's too small (and probably others as well) is due to the fact that Sonic was in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl AND in the Mario vs. Sonic games. That's two series that Sonic has officially been alongside Mario, and in both, he was taller. If you already tried and weren't able to, please say so. Granted, it's a very small problem, but it's still something that several people have said that you might want to take into consideration. That said, it's your mod, and you have the final say, and most of the screenshots you've posted are at least pleasing to the eye, unlike a lot of NSMBWii Levels I've seen.

Now, about the BG, the hills with the palm trees on them look bad and out of place due to the white outline around them. The grass/trees/whatever the green is that is/are furthest back from the camera look a bit pixely. Maybe try blurring them a bit and see if this removes the pixelation, if not, maybe try redrawing it. Other than that, the BG is a big improvement over the original one, and looks very nice. The mountains on the furthest back layer remind me of that Sonic 2 HD style, is that what you were going for?

Eh, sure. Why not? Kaizo hacking doesn't seem too ha-aaaaaaand I broke the ROM.
The last two layers are the bg from brawl's green hill zone stage, and those green balls or trees/something were already pixelated in brawl, the bg was just far away from the stage camera. the front two layers are from sonic 4 but they were not transparent so I had to go to a website which is not so good at doing that.(hence the white).
the water is something I found on deviantart.
Also before I read this I made two versions. a daytime/dark.

I tried with sonic but sadly the model crashed when I tried.

Could you replace the toads with caos I now they all use the model but think about and maybe shadow but its you hack. And good luck.#smw{:TUP:}
