So here's the hack I've been talking about for some time now.. Huh? No one remembers? Uhh.. Moving along. Anyone think they can guess what hack I'm remaking? Of course not! Let's cut to the chaase, here's screenshots, lots of screenshots!
Any guesses on what I'm remaking? Still no? Ah well. Though if someone guesses it correctly then many pats in the back for you, otherwise, if no one gets it then I'll reveal it once C3 is over as I'll make a thread for this in the WIP forum. Here's some bonus videos, it just happens to be 3 videos.. C3.. Like wow man! Spooky shit!
I did show off the 1st video in the Screenshots + Video thread some time ago but I guess no one really saw it. As for the last 2, I'm gonna delete them after C3 so watch them before it ends. Or don't. I've managed to complete 2 worlds in about 3 months or so if anyone's wondering how much I done. It doesn't look like much but that's because I was genius and made 2 grassland worlds in a row when I first made this hack for some reason. >_>
Also, Apparition Eradication will probably be resumed soon, I mostly put my focus into this and now that I finally showed it off I can start AE again. I'm digging myself a grave for starting 2 hacks, switching off will be fun. Not.
Man, these are sure sexy screenshots. I've always loved your work with SMAS-styled stuff, but this should be for sure some of your best work. I'm definitely liking what's shown here so far, and also hoping for a release of the hack when possible for you.
This is for sure some of the awesome content I always expect to see in events like C3.
if you personally feel that the original was lacking in having different gimmicks (if that is the reason why you are remaking said hack) that would make your hack otherwise more fun to play.
Good luck on this.
-------------------- On Pixel Art Requests: I generally do not accept work unless I either have the time, if I see your project worth my time to contribute towards, and that is usually me doing the approaching to you on that.
-I also do not accept speculative work as I do have various art I made on-hand with me.
-I am more receptive to equivalent exchange of resources in which case, you can DM me wherever I have an active presence on for the details.
-Other times I'm availible for your project is C3 request threads I may run.
I'm really impressed with the GFX consistency in this hack, by looking at these screenshots. Also, looks like you put a good amount of thought on your level design (defeating fuzzies with the ON-OFF switch was really clever!) in both structure and gimmicks. It looks like a hard hack, but the difficulty seems just right. This looks promising, keep it up!
Thanks guys! Glad to see you like it. I don't plan on releasing a demo whatsoever though but that might change.

Well, that's one of the reasons, the hack will have more variety for sure. But the main reason why I'm remaking this is because the hack seriously contains so much stolen level design and ideas from the Luigis Adventure series, Kaos Island, and SMB3X, I'm honestly surprised no one noticed too. But yeah, that's why it's been gone from the hacks section for years, I removed it back when I was a hack mod, I was gonna remake it but I never did until now
I'm surprised you managed to upload a hack with stolen content and get away with it.
That aside, what you have there looks neat. Kaos Island was one of my favorite hacks back in 2010, and it's part of the reason why I'm making The Challenge right now, so if you're still taking inspiration from that it's a plus in my book.
Jokes aside,
Really liking the graphical choices you did. The palettes look pretty solid compared to what I've seen in other hacks lately. Either that, or I've been ending up playing the average ones. ・ワ・ ;; Looks like it's gonna be way better than the original, looking forward to it!

These screenshots are truely amazing. It's interesting how you managed to mix SMAS-styled graphics with completely custom ExGFX. Looks like it's going to be a challenging hack, something for my tastes.
I don't remember playing the original hack, but this remake looks promising. I'm looking forward for some more progress.

You shocked a bunch of people just there, myself included. After finding a playthrough of it, I began to think that with some of the levels that it could have easily been mistaken for a lost episode of Luigi's Adventure or Mario X World.
At least you admitted to your mistakes and did the right thing. plus I know a guy who stole levels from 8 other hacks and had zero respect for anyone else
The strong point here are the graphics, I really love them: the mixings, the details... everything looks smooth and well done. The gameplay also looks promising. Keep going, you got my attention.
I don't know the original hack, so I guess this will be the right occasion to play it. I'm really liking the graphic style so far, it's very colourful and while it mixes different tilesets, it manages to stay consistent enough (as Gloomier already said). It also looks pretty fun to play, so keep up the good work!
Glad to see you guys like it! Hopefully it won't disappoint whenever it comes out, gameplay and asthetics are main focus for this hack so thats a plus for everyone. I just gotta work on the difficulty coz I get carried away with it sometimes.
I'm working on my main hack again so progress for this will be a bit slower. Though at the same time, progress for that will be slow also; I'm smart for doing 2 hacks at once!

Kaos Island is always an inspiration to me, especially the 2nd one so yeah, I'm still taking a bit of inspiration from it.

Nah, I made the palette of that Venus' stem red so you can identify it from the other Venus plants as there's quite a few different types in my hack.
