Whoa. You can play as a Yoshi in this game. I've seen a hack where you can play has a Yoshi, but not with sprites like those. Looks pretty impressive.

He acts like a player two character. And sorry to dissapoint you but he don’t use his tongue.(Unless you are not after his ability)
