Finally, my first C3 project ever!

This is a kaizo hack that I started to work since 2014. This is a fairly hard kaizo hack with quite lots of mini puzzles & crazy moves that will give you insanity! The building style is inspired by a lot by other kaizo hacks. This is probably one of the hack that I put most efforts on, so I hope you like this!

I've decided to give this hack a try for mind refreshing. After all, what is a C3 thread without a reply, right?

This hack was quite creative! There were some parts that felt a bit frustrating to get through but that doesn't mean any of the levels are not fun. The first one, to be exact, had some quite few unique segments like the first auto-scrolling section and the Kaizo trap at the end, but the level that comes after was way too frustrating, especially that one part with the fish generator and Yoshi. The fishes spawn at a point where I can't even be touched at all so Yoshi can run away unless I get to the upper ledge. Dunno, might be just me, as that was the only part that was irritating enough. (combining water and lava is a nice twist though!)
Thwomp's grieving face is glitched though (aka replaced by Urchin's top left tile). You weren't using the latter in that part so I guess replacing its tiles is far safer.


I guess you intended me to use both the 1-up and the three berries to feed baby Yoshi. This entire segment turned out to be useless, as I could keep the shell from the parakoopa and shell-jump above the muncher pit. You could also kick said shell and use red Yoshi - now in a grown-up state - to get to the pipe, but it's not effective anyway.

I'm not sure what is the purpose of the flying block on the first underwater bit... If its purpose was to make the shell bounce back after killing the Rip Van Fish, I could very well lure it and kill it when I got to the brown pipe. You can replace it with a non-walking enemy, like a Clappin' Chuck.


The entire idea of bouncing on the disco shell as my jumping abilities are disabled is a nice idea. Unfortunately, I killed the yellow shelless koopa and used its shell to swim throughout the room, keeping it until after I enter the yellow pipe.

A minor nitpick, but the second directional coin snake disappears sometimes as soon as I enter the room. Nice idea you had there, though; I can say the same thing for the uses of layer 2 afterwards.

This is definitely something I'd be testing as a whole in my spare time when it's fully released. Good luck, I look forward to seeing the other levels!

Sorry about that, I was kinda run out of idea while I'm making that part. I think I should replace that part with something else easier & more creative.

Can someone please tell me that it is possible to hit at least one of those remaining ice blocks with a fireball? The hack has really been nice so far but this part annoys the hell out of me when i get stuck for such an easy task even though I know the solution of the puzzle.

So please... did someone already get past here?

Yep, it's possible. Keep shooting your fireballs at a specific frame until it's able to break that block as the spike is rising up, at least that's the way I did despite all the trouble worth to do it. A far easier way is to progress onto the green pipe as normal, swim above the clouds where baby Yoshi is and hit the block.

I already tried to shoot the ice blocks from the position in the the above pic in pretty much every way possible - rising or sinking spike. Cant get it do work.

I dont really get how you could do that part otherwise. Since you cant get past the Thwomp without losing the fire flower how could you burn the ice blocks from the other side like you said?

You can make the Thwomp smash as the spike is sinking, and it will go through the blocks when the latter is rising up. Let the last Thwomp fall, get above the yellow pipe and shoot your fireballs at the remaining ice block and then squeeze through it to get back to the blue pipe. I agree this part should be tweaked a bit to make this whole process easier.

As for how you first tried to do it, I did it multiple times until I could get it to work, but that castle block made it more difficult than it ever was.
Thanks alot for that advise. I got past that part and collected the goal sphere in second room after that..... and then my game crashed ._.

So yeah I had enough of that game for today(it is really sad since the hack is really neat until this mess.)

The solution to the puzzle wasnt the problem. The thight space to shoot fireballs was the messy part. You should change something about that to not make the easiest part of the puzzle that difficult.

Other than that i really enjoyed the hack! It is very creative and orginal with mostly parts I had never seen before in other hacks like that lava part with the dolphins.

The hack has a couple breaks but oh well i enjoy finding those anyway :P
Two things that should be changed for sure though are that you should disable the key exist of the first level on the overworld. Otherwise the game will crash when you finish the second level.
And you can break the invisible Yoshi part in Fish Styx III pretty hard since you can eat the Porcu-puffer with Yoshi and skip the entire part get hit by Rip Van Fish at the end to get off Yoshi(while still riding invible Yoshi) and contuine.

Really excited about the future of this hack #smw{:TUP:}
