This is a good idea to keep around. There's definitely a lot of these tiles I hate making each time I make a new hack.

In fact, this brings up a good idea: Why don't we have a section on the site dedicated to MAP16 files? (unless I'm not looking hard enough as usual)

That wouldn't be as useful as you may think. The only universal map16 tiles would be ones that use the default vanilla graphics, and anyone is capable of easily creating those. With custom graphics, Map16 Giles are already included.

The reason we have a dedicated page here is so we don't end up with upside-down munchers on ever Map16 page because every level wants to use them.

Let me say what I said last time: though certain people think that some of the general map16 tiles are ugly and shouldn't be there, you're missing the point. This was made to be a general page with tiles that are generally used. "But it encourages people to use them!" No it does not. If you are a good level designer you aren't influenced by a resource.

Hm? What do you mean? Just download the file, import it into your ROM with LM, and use them then. I think you need to mess with the "act like" setting to get it to work the way it should, though, but that's not too hard to do. >_>

...Or am I just misinterpreting what exactly it is you're asking? <_<

First of all, you don't have to use any of these tiles. Just because they are there, doesn't mean you are forced to use them. Second of all, you have to use these tiles to "make them work":

Just keep on mixing the tiles to see which tiles work with which. There's nothing more to it than that.

This wouldn't be a very good general Map16 page if all the tiles had broken acts like settings, wouldn't it? Anyways you don't have to act so superior to him.

Besides for the grounded block: There is also something wrong about the grounded question block: It uses tiles 78 and 79 which looks in LM normal but in the game or when you disable the view for invisible p-switch blocks the question block is missing as this is used for the invisible p-switch blocks. Just something I point out about something weird looking.

I think he's asking how to implement them to be used as they're actually to be used. He wants to know how to use them as upside-down slopes pretty much. That's where the fun comes in!
