So it's been a bit of a busy month for me, so I may as well post some of the progress I currently have.





It's great to see more Fuzzies, especially in a unique setting like a castle. Really neat atmosphere so far!

(also, don't forget about finishing off 3-7 too.)
Agreed - overall atmosphere seems to be very well made, and the design seems to have a lot of thought put into it as well. Neat job so far!
Now that I'm effectively done with 3-7, have some more screenshots.

I think that you can possibly add some gates that will crush Yoshi in 3D that appeared in the original 1-4 in the wooden castle portion since no one uses that yet.

That's true, huh. The layer 3 based sprites from castles haven't really been used yet.

It's definitely worth a shot, though I'm not entirely sure it will function in a sublevel with fuzzies.

If fuzzies and the 3D walls don't mesh well. I guess you can put them into separate sections in the same sublevel.

That's the thing though; the BG3 objects won't function correctly under these header settings, which the Fuzzies need to be functional.
After a bit of fiddling around with it, I've decided that I don't like how sublevel 56 (the pseudo-cave) as a whole is turning out so far. So I've decided to turn it into something more unique.

Sprite 1E2 (Dancing Spear Guy Trigger, as it appears in Golden Egg) allows the Dancing Spear Guys to function in an area, and it determines how they move based on their coordinates. It only seems to activate if you enter from a screen that it's placed on. Based on this, I plan on creating a maze of sorts, where you need to manipulate the patterns of the Spear Guys via exits and entrances to find keys.
Exams.
Now that the project isn't dead anymore I'm picking this level back up. Expect more progress soon-ish.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to drop this level. School is picking up again and I don't really have the time, ideas or motivation to finish this. Depending on the circumstances I may pick it up again or do something with it for my own hack, but for now it's open.

I'll have a new patch for 3-7 as soon as I can manage.
