Name subject to change. Level number could be any (23, perhaps?), though I'm using 104 and 25 in my base ROM. It's a swampy kind of level, with some stone ruins and a lot of different kinds of platforms. I'm not sure what music would be good, but I was using Bayou Boogie.

The second area has Layer 3 mist instead of water, has vertical scrolling, and focuses more on the ruins.

This looks pretty nice. I'm glad you didn't go overboard on the decoration like others did. (Not saying that's bad though)

I would say ask for people to privately test the level via a PM or something, if that would make you feel better.

I'm liking the swamp like design, although, I feel that palette should be a tad bit darker overall. When I think of a swamp, I think of disgusting, dark, and damp. That would really help with the atmosphere of the level.

My Ports
I kind of forgot about this. Here is a patch, if anyone else wants to try it. (And I already know about the layer priority issue with the pipes...as far as I know, that's not fixable without breaking the vanilla rules.)

I liked it. The graphics combination was interesting, and the level was, though a tad on the generic side, enjoyable. There were a few errors though:

1) When you go from the first to the second section, you go in a pipe and come out of nothing. It doesn't make much sense to not have a pipe animation in the second room.

2) I'll need photos to help me out with this one:



These two coins aren't visible when you actually need them. You can catch them in the corner of your eye going up, but you may want to move them up a tile or two.

3)
This brown platform can kill you if you stay on it too long, as you'll clip right into the stone blocks (not pictured). Coins should be sufficient for guiding the player down here.

But yeah, other than that I enjoyed it. Hope you get around to fixing these!
Wait a minute...the pipe and platform were fixed. I must have forgotten to update the patch. Oops. Try this one.

Design-wise, this level is very nice. I'd may add more coins around it, since some parts could end up being blind jumps like this one:

(Yeah, if you wait on the platform you can see the FG below, though adding some coins to warn the player would be nice)

The aesthetics is pretty simple here, though I feel like the stars' white color is a bit weird, you may want to fix it. You also could use more decoration tiles for your level, since it feels a bit empty.
