The Sacred Scroll ~Castle "Crazy circus of all things.~

Yep, this is technically a new game. Isaac (Scroll Kid, decided just to stick with the regular "scroll" word.) is the main character, but there will be references to Mario games as well.

Story:
A messenger in a small town called "Velveta", must carry a message to another kingdom, the Shroom Empire, as a war has started between it and many other kingdoms. He soon becomes the protector of the Shroom Empire. He will travel far and wide to stop the opposing army of the 4 smaller Kingdoms - the Wartling Kingdom, the Lavallia Kingdom, the Razorclaw Empire, and the Turtleback Empire. Will Isaac be able to save the Shroom Empire from eradication?

The story may change later on, but help will be needed to make this. You can help in many ways, including graphics and even inserting the music. If you help with this project, I will make sure you are mentioned in the credits. If you want to know what you can help on, check below.

Well, I'll start making Velveta's tileset, but that's really it so far.

Here's my idea for World 1's map. The tiles will be custom FYI:


Velveta won't really be a world, more so just an introduction world. That is why there are 2 levels, the Town Itself and the Introduction Level.
@Nin: Ugh... not trying to be rude, but that's pretty bad. Firstly, there are lots of cutoff. Secondly, there are some perspective errors, and lastly, it needs more decoration. Also, two levels in one map? Seriously?

Honestly, I don't see any cutoff on the map. The perspective is rather okay, but the landmasses look very simplistic. It could be more varied, but I don't think it's anything major.

Looks okay. Add also a few hills to spice it up.

Two pixel cutoffs are not a bad thing.

The rest I kind of agree with.

Most of the cutoff is gone now. I added that extra line on the land mass and added more detials.
@MercuryPenny: Yeah, I was kind of being nitpicky, sorry about that, but still, it's nice to see a better one.

That looks WAY better! It would have been nice to see different shapes, but it's still nice looking. Also, you forgot one cut-off, but it's okay. If you're wonder where it is, well.. kind of hard to explain, but in the left of the waterfall, there are lines right? The first one from the right is cut-off for some reason.
Yeah, I saw that but I don't know what Tile to put there to fix it. I'm am working on another map That I will show off soon!

I have already got about 8+ warnings before, and I don't want another warning, so I'll stay on topic and say: nice story, it actually sounds pretty unique.
The Story and Dialog are written by me and Superbot is inserting it in the form of cutseens. The hack will use a custom status bar and won't have the "feel" of other Mario Rom Hacks.

Yeah, Sacred Scroll will be more about the story and "quest" (levels), rather than just a plain old SMW hack.
