Hey there everyone!
I found a nice tool on MFGG with which you can create your own NES Super Mario Bros styled Games. Not just "Episodes" like in SMBX. Whole GAMES. Like the original one.
I really like that tool and thought it would be a cool Idea to make a whole at least 8 Worlds long Mario game just like SMB.
If you like the Idea, I will post more informations about this project.

If there are interests add me on Skype:

(nope I am not born in the year 2005. The number is based on my birthday. 20th May.)

Hmmm. It seems cool. Maybe We could work something out?
Interesting. But what is the difference between this and an SMB ROM hack? Are there any major differences?

Or is this for making SMB games for PC? I didn't quite get it from the description.

Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
This is bacily the NES Mario Maker. Hope it clears it up!

Also is this a solo or Collab project?

It is a on Java based program which lets you create Games and export them as a .exe file and upload it for public. :)

I thought it could be some cool sort of Collab thing where everyone creates one or two levels and sends them to me for putting it into one big thing.
Thats why I wrote in that post that if someone is interested he could add
me on Skype. ;)

Alright, I see. At first I thought this would actually export NES ROMs.
That's indeed quite interesting. Is it very flexible, like Zelda Classic, or rather limited?

It isn't flexible like Zelda Classic and a bit limited. It is still in Beta. Maybe there will be more stuff to do in later versions...

It doen't look very interesting to me. It's a SMB1 remake where you can edit levels and export them as a separate executable file, right?

Yep. But I thought while it is still in Beta, we could give it try and do the best out of it.

Is it recreated to this point that the game would have NES limits or does it get rid of these completely? Some SMB1 limits were a bit annoying, so it'd be great to have a recreation without them.
