Description: | It is a not so difficult kaizo mario hack, but offers some challenges that you will face. this hack can be played from beginners on kaizo games to more skilled players to these hacks. My purpose for creating this hack is to make a hack where you will test your abilities and see how are your abilities in Super Mario World hacks. I hope you will enjoy playing it. |
Removal reasons:
This hack isn't fit for acceptance, unfortunately.
The gameplay design was very standard; platforming, shell jumping, precision jumping, surprise invisible coin block traps, and actually having to find invisible coin blocks in order to progress. There wasn't much creativity. The stage was also very short and took me only around 10 minutes to complete. Kaizo hacks that get submitted should contain interesting puzzles and obstacles to make the hack fun and to keep the player engaged, rather than containing a bunch of platforming. In addition, the boss fight at the end was unchanged, which is anticlimactic and throws off the difficulty flow.
There are other problems present as well, involving graphical issues and ways of cheating.
-[1] From the looks of this room, it looks like the player wasn't intended to have Yoshi. There's nothing stopping the player from bringing the Yoshi from the previous room into this one. You're able to cheat through this room until the part where Mario has to take a hit.
-[2] You can simply run across these blocks instead of shell jumping, if Mario maintains top speed.
-[3] This Yoshi has the same issue. There's nothing stopping the player from keeping it after the piranha plant section just ahead that requires its use.
-[4] You're able to keep the blue shell from the shell jumping section and give it to Yoshi, which allows the player to fly over the level and skip most of the auto-scrolling part.
-[5] [6] There's cut-off in these spots, which should be avoided. Having floating water isn't always a bad thing, but it shouldn't be boxed-off.
Along with fixing the issues above, this hack needs to be re-designed (and made longer) for the most part if it's to be accepted. Again, kaizo hacks shouldn't specifically be about platforming, they should contain puzzles and obstacles that are outside the box. I recommend taking a look at accepted kaizo hacks or other kaizo hack removal logs to get an idea of what the expectations are.
