Mushroom Kingdom Fusion has two levels based on Super Mario Land 1; Birabuto Bash and Muda Madness:
But neither are accurate remakes of the original game's levels, and they never made levels based on the Easton or Chai Kingdoms.
Also, both are probably gonna be cut from the remade version due to being clones of areas from other games.
The only other example of a game I remember being a 16 bit Mario Land remake was a weird old fan game called Super Daisy Land:
It was an... interesting title. Very poorly programmed and the redrawn graphics looked rather bad, but the game was a surprisingly comprehensive remake. Seriously, it's like, four times as long as the original game with all those 'secret' levels.
Other than that, some people have attempted it in the SMW engine, but none ever got completed:
So yeah, proper Mario Land remakes are a bit thin on the ground to be honest.
