Hi, if you were around for 2014's Winter C3, we showed off I and Mogsiah's project that we have (sort of) started since September.
The thing is that it's still being worked and we're doing some decent progress. We took our time and love to design this hack so you have lots of fun once it gets released.

In this hack, you have the choice to play as different characters with different statistics (nothing too major). You can switch between them anytime you want.

I was going to say a lot more here, but I figured that the experience is better when you know less about the hack. It will also make for some nice surprises on what we got cooked in there.



This work in progress thread won't be used a lot. This is mostly a kind of announcement that this project is being worked on since the showing at C3. The thread is probably going to be used for showcasing certain stuff to get ya up in the excitement or answer questions, hopefully.
In the post below, Mogsiah will post some GIFS from the C3 thread.

How many worlds/levels will there be?

Sweet. The map reminds me of Super Metroid.
Nice character selection, nice Luigi/Mario/Wario/Waluigi start and nice level design as well. Looks amazing.

This looks immensely cool. Very nice job with the presentation. I'm wondering who that shadow character is.

But I especially like Luigi's sassy neck sway.

I hope it will be as awesome as the trailer.

Wow, lovely menu. I see some Sonic inspiration. This one looks really promising, it's going to be a really interesting hack.

Really nice! Really like the use of ASM here, it's very creative and something I'd love to see more. The design looks very sweet as well!

Cool to see this hack coming for real. I expect some very cool and smooth ASM stuff. Just be careful with the graphics as some people stated here.

Oh and don't forget to add the figher.
