VLDC8 OST

I'd like to thank the following people for composing/remixing fifteen tracks specifically for this year's VLDC:

Like last year, I think we've collectively produced a very high quality soundtrack. The map themes all turned out wonderfully, and even though we only got four new SMW remixes this year, they are all so, so superbly done (the water theme is my personal favorite).

Excellent work. The tracks will be released for public use once the hack is released like last time.

I'm sensing S.N.N. may have just accidentally let slip insight into possible S.N.N. clones mucking about on SMWC. It would explain sooooo much.

Fantastic job. I really don't know which song is my favorite - they're all splendid.
That factory remix is incredibly catchy though.

I should add that I'm also looking for two people to act as beta testers for the final project (already have one other). You would have until the end of April to test it all and note the following:

-Broken screen exits (might not always be obvious, but if a level suddenly becomes radically different, make a note of it ).
-Broken or "strange" message box text.
-Broken midways (test each midway after you get them).
-Go for 100% - get every checkmark and Yoshi coin icon filled in. If this is rendered impossible in any levels, let me know.

Remember, you don't need to critique the levels themselves as they are all entries that will remain static/unchanged (unless something is wildly broken or unbeatable). You're really just making sure the entire thing can be beaten, so you could probably even get away with save-state spamming if you wanted to.

If all of the above works for you and you're a reliable member of the userbase, feel free to let me know here and I'll pick two at semi-random. More details to follow this week.

Don't know, if this is already fixed, but while playing the contest levels, I noticed that the midway point in "2 Bros make a level" kills you.
Don't really have the time to offer testing the full hack, but this might help.

There were a couple kinks with it last year, so we're not taking the hall of fame route this time. That's why myself and (several) others have poured a lot of time into a very satisfying climax for people who complete all of the entries. We've outdone ourselves in terms of endgame content this time.
