Tip: Make sure that ALL exit-enabled pipes, doors, etc. have a screen exit defined, or they'll take you to Level 0, the "endless" bonus game. Unless Start+Select is enabled, the only way out of it is to reset the game.

I want to know how to make a checkpoint in Lunar Magic, help please. And I also wanna know why my level is underwater.

There is no knowledge that is not power.
To make a checkpoint, you'd need to move the midway entrance to anywhere you want, as long as you spawn at the level you entered the overworld from after collecting the midpoint (that is, assuming you mean these). As for your second question, open #lm{1door} and set the main entrance to anything that's not underwater.

No, that isn't what I mean. I meant like how do I make it were Mario enters that midway checkpoint and gets to spawn there whenever he dies?

That's what I meant. You're going to always spawn at the spot you want to whenever you die after collecting the midpoint.

I figured it out, but now the camera starts at the top, which causes Mario to die.

Then you have to check whether Mario's initial position is set correctly or not (in later versions of Lunar Magic, moving him using the sprite editing mode automatically sets it to avoid this sort of problem). The image below explains where will the camera start when you place him anywhere else.

Alright, thanks. I'm all set!
