You'll have to use slogger in your ROM to determine a ROM address to use as freespace. Do that, change the definition that will be inside the patch (!Freespace, in most cases) and patch the asm file normally (via batch file, or with cmd.exe aid)
Some recommendations:
-Edit your rom a bit in LM before applying any patches. It automatically expands the rom and installs some common hijacks.
-Don't forget to make a backup. Something could go wrong.
