Hi. So... this level was made by me a few months ago using PGE Editor, but I forgot to post it here. I hope there's some free space left for this level in this colab.

Anyway the level is SMB2 styled and it's snowy themed.

Level ends with an SMB3 Star and has a secret SMW star, which requires you to collect all 5 Ace Coins. Also don't mind that background cut-off at the third screen: it isn't visible in SMBX!

Yes, you are supposed to end the level with a star.

As for the level itself, it was very enjoyable. It captures the SMB2 mood quite nicely, even with the good Kirby music.
However, I had some issues with the slide section. The slide is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes, the player stops sliding at the end of the slopes in the horizontal parts. Other times, the player just slides into the munchers and dies. I tested the slide with Mario and Luigi (since the others can't slide. We might need to make this a Mario and Luigi level only), and Luigi made it most of the times, if he didn't stop at the beginning of the slopes. Mario on the other hand dies if you try to slide down both slopes in one go. He can make it if you stop on top of the second slope and start to slide again from there. If Luigi tries this however (because he was stopped by the horizontal part), he will overshoot the trampolines and die.
I suggest you reconstruct the slides and take out the horizontal part, such that both Mario and Luigi can make it in one go.

There are also some minor english mistakes. The first message block should say "all the water" instead of "every water". And the second message block should say "press the down button".

I'm also wondering how you can access section 7. There was an event that said something about the 5 ace coins, but nothing happened.

But it was a nice level overall. Keep up the good work!

I tried to fix the slide, but it still never worked for me. I just placed a vase in case player gets stuck under the slide.

That section had a secret star before - I wasn't sure if the stars were allowed in this collab, so I had to disable the event that activates it for a moment. Now you have to collect all 5 Ace Coins to unlock it.

I've played the updated version, and although it was still nice, there are two things you should change:
- The midpoint doesn't work properly, as the player gets stuck in the ceiling. I'm also against the invisible midpoint that you're forced to get. I think it would be better if you made a visible midpoint that players could avoid, in case they want to collect all the Ace coins.
- The slide, while better than last time, still kills Mario if he tries to do it in one go. You should also change
into
or something similar to this. This way, the player doesn't randomly stop on the horizontal part. You might also want to extend the landing area of the first slide (indicated with the red circle below), so that the player can land there and then take the second slide.

This way, Mario doesn't get killed (because he can take both slides individually, but if he doesn't stop after the first one, he will only make a small hop from the second slide and fall in the munchers).

I also have a few suggestions for things that aren't necessarily bad, but may improve the level:
- Put the Ace coin message for the secret star in the first message block after the water text. It might get annoying if people have to read the text every time they grab the first Ace coin.
- We could just put a filter on the hub to make this Mario and Luigi only. Although I like your attempts to make this level playable with all characters, it's a shame that you have to skip some part of the level. This is just a suggestion, if you want to keep this the way it is, it is fine too.

Oh... well now you can try to test the checkpoint of the updated level. I think I fixed it.

We're almost there. Luigi still dies if he takes the slide in one go. But if you move the second slide one tile to the right, everything should be alright.

The midpoint works fine now and I like that you moved the ace coin in the slide section (the coin placement in general has improved in the slide section).

The poison mushroom in section 7 is also a bit mean. You could replace it with another one-up, or some coins + cherries.

I believe the slide works now. The rest of the level had a nice SMB2 vibe with some incentive to explore. Keep it up!

This video shows a lot more stuff than in a previous video.
Even though I know it's really late to update this level now, I still did it because I wasn't happy with some things when I replayed the level today. Mostly I just polished stuff.

What has been updated/changed:

- some NPC & BGO placement - some BGOs were (re)moved and some NPCs were changed to other NPCs;
- fixed the Autobomb death effect;
- changed the Brick Block effect to SMB2 one;
- white light entrances no longer lack the actual light;
- added an extra bonus room;
- added an extra unique checkpoint area - sometimes once you grab the checkpoint flag and die, you'll get respawned in a ceiling just above the checkpoint. I fixed this by adding an extra instant warp there, so if the glitch will happen, you'll be teleported to a completely new area...

Thanks for the update. I'll look at it later, but I don't expect any problems.

I'm also thinking about removing the toad, peach and link passages and replacing it with a Mario and Luigi filter. I don't think the other player passages add much (and link won't even be a playable character in this episode).
