Extra Mario World - Miscellaneous Updates

Man, every update on this bad boy is just incredible. It's a huge treat seeing such a variety of movement options on each character.

Is Mario's fireball able to bounce off the ground like a regular one, or does it disintegrate if it hits anything? Would you also plan on making it capable of destroying non-enemy entities, like vines?

Health on Mario is a good idea, since you don't have to pepper the course with powerups to keep the difficulty reasonable. Will Mario, or anyone else for that matter, be able to increase their max life?

That pipe animation is really something else, but does this mean you're going to leave behind the kind of level select system you had in the demo in favor of something more traditional?

And lastly, that's some spicy gameplay for being in the water. No doubt you and your team went well out of their way to make the water levels as dynamic as possible for some characters.

Currently working on Æther: The Infinite Library!

This looks AWESOME! How did you make the interactive message boxes?

I coded them from scratch #smrpg{:D}

It bounces as normal, but has a bigger hitbox. It has a few special interactions too but I can't show any right now.

Yes. We have decided to run with our initial concept and push a traditional overworld as far as we can instead of going with just a menu.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! We hope to show something really cool off very soon, so stay tuned #smrpg{<3}

This hack looks so cool and unique, in all kinds of little ways it stands out from the rest of the pack. Always cool when I can just see a random screenshot and know right away which hack it is. It's a shame I don't have the time to devote to being a regular graphics contributor, because I would toss my hat in. Will you have something to play at C3?

Chapter two: Land of No Shame
Coming January 2022
Just a small update on what I'm working on at the moment!

This is a lighting system run as a make-shift shader on SNES side while SA-1 runs the game logic. I might explain in more detail later if people are interested! Either way, this lets us place light points in the level and the area around those points get shaded in the light's colors. We plan to use this a lot throughout the game. Stay tuned, folks, we have some cool stuff coming out from the rest of the team soon!

Wow. These details are seemingly unnecessary but, altogether, they tie a neat, pretty bow on the package that is this game.

I found the lighting and shading system very nice and curious, it brings a different atmosphere to the level. I have a question regarding Luigi, will he have any special powers in the game? Just a curiosity.
Wow! Now that looks amazing!

Any news about this job? I'm quite curious.
