This powerup has a serious bug.
When getting a P-balloon, the graphic does not display correctly with the Mario Hammer, Boomerang, and Penguin.
Please improve.
Will there be an update with separate Luigi GFX?

Yes I'm a furry. Is that a problem?
After already successfully applying the patch, I went to change some of the graphics for the powerup items. When I reapplied the gfx patch, all powerups showed up as garbage graphics. I reapplied the main patch, and that fixed almost everything, but powerups in the reserve box still show up as garbage when first entering a level. Does anyone know why this is?

Hello, there is an easy fix for these!
You'll want to open up powerups_files/powerup_misc_data/tilemaps.asm
You'll see a bunch of code tables in the line of text.

First, we'll fix the Penguin suit. You'll want to go to line 129 and you'll see this line of text.

db $3D,$3E,$3D,$7F,$7F,$2A,$3B,$25	;9

Change the value $3B to $29. The line of text should now look like this:

That should fix the issue with the Penguin suit. Now for the Hammer and Boomerang Suit, it won't even require modifying with the tilemaps.asm (though you still could if you wanted to.) Using YYCHR, you can simply copy each powerups' corresponding balloon tile (they are in their gfx files, just not on the correct tile) to the 32x32 tile 3B (last page, third row, rightmost tile). The tile (outlined in red) should have placeholder graphics that looks like this:



Save and then insert powerup_gfx.asm via asar again. Hope this helps.

If you want a whole graphic set for the custom powerups I think you need to practice your pixel art cause I highly doubt anyone will make your graphics for you... at least for free maybe for the right price you might get somewhere.
I tried this street
Penguin Mario only crouched and became a balloon.
Is something wrong?

If inserting powerup_gfx.asm didn't help. Try reinserting powerup.asm. See if that does it. Are the hammer and boomerang suits unaffected as well?

that's an issue with the 32x32 tilemap kit patch i used in the powerups patch, it should be fixed whenever i manage to publish an update (alternatively you could clone the repo and use that one, it's stable)

Hi guys! I found this video from Seawar Mario World and it looks like Mario Is using different custom power-ups. The Raccoon / Tanooki Mario vertical flying speed looks perfect but the horizontal moves look too fast. 3 new power-ups were added including the Super Carrot from SML2, the Spring Mushroom from SMG and the Metal cap. Even Shell Mario can't get damage by munchers or spikes while inside a shell. I hope you like this video.

This looks like a dive attack, and I want to see more of Cat Mario. Let’s see if he can clime in front of semisolid platforms. While that gets updated, I hope we can see Raccoon / Tanooki Mario’s flying speed much slower, that way I don’t want this powerup to do just airjumping after running. Those will get updated soon.
How do i add exgfx for the powerup items is it the same procedure for mario's GFX?
