Custom Powerups v3.4.2 - DISCONTINUED

Patch

I'm trying to use the powerup sprite config tool but every time i open the it i get this issue even though i have inserted the right powerup_defs.asm and the right PIXI sprite list.

I have no idea why this is happening but i really need to know if it's possible to fix this, because some sprites don't interact with Mario at all when he has some power-ups

Not a big deal since I probably won't end up using this patch for any of my hacks, but I was curious what the issue is as I must have reinstalled this patch to a clean ROM about five times and got the same result each time (the first few times also crashed the game when collecting coins with the Superball which I seemingly fixed by using an older version of Pixi and GPS). Couldn't see any related options to edit in the powerup config asm files either.

Another weird thing is that the latter few times I installed the patch it started removing the "Welcome to Dinosaur Land" music and instead just playing the normal level theme after starting a new game. Not sure if it's related to something with Addmusic but I don't remember that ever happening before.

About the first issue, you can see my bio for modified blocks for the custom powerups patch. Hopefully they’ll work for you, but I likely won’t give any support for anything other than misleading info or something like that. If the second issue happens specifically in the intro level, it’s actually not a bug; AMK just changes it so that ‘Here We Go!’ plays in place of the intro theme so you can easily change it within LM rather than hex-edit stuff.

Thanks for the info, I'll try that out later.

I probably didn't notice the second issue at first because I always fast forward through the intro when testing the game, lol. Recently got back into SMW hacking.

I know I’ve said it a lot, but I’m still having the issue of power-ups being invisible. Any tips would be appreciated

My In-Progress Hack

When I step on some custom sprites in Tanooki Mario (Pirate Goom from WarioLand and BoomBoom from SMB3 in the sprites section of this site as far as I have tried), for some reason, Mario is damaged. Is this because of the ASM of the custom sprite? If so, how do I fix the ASM?
I can not speak English.
Can I have the two sound effects for the proppeller mushroom in SPC format? please. I tried to make it myself but it didn't work.
I'm using this powerup pack together with the "OW Inventory" Patch and it works fine. But when Mario is equipped with Cape/Tanooki and switches to another Powerup through inventory, his graphic glitches on the tiles where Cape and Tail are supposed to be (Overworld only). Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve this?

When I tried to insert a custom sprite in PIXI, it displayed "e:/kaizou/custom powerup/powerups_v3.4.0/pixi/extended/powerup/mario_hammer.asm:10 (called from e:/kaizou/custom powerup/powerups_v3.4.0/pixi/extended/powerup/mario_hammer.asm:10): error: (E5094): Macro 'Speed' wasn't found. [%Speed()]".
What should I do?
I'm not good at English, so I use Google Translate. Sorry if the text is weird!
There are a lot of pages here so I don't nkow if anywone has the exact problem I had but:
I patched my Rom with SA-1 and then followed the instructions for installing the powerups, and it works! but with one major visual error. Whenever there's a black screen fade or circle at the end of the level it just stays black, if you move from one screen to another in the overworld you just can't see where you are until you enter a level... Maybe people know why?
It seems like a miracle, but the custom Bubble Flower has finally made its way into Super Mario Bros. Wonder!

Yep! I even found a comparison video on YouTube:
Mario even has the same colour.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Pink is a color commonly associated with bubbles.

Hello, I'm pretty much stuck on this one. I got an error for having a 'sprite_extra_byte1' not being found. Also, I'm using Gopher Popcorn Stew.
Replace all instances of sprite_extra_byte to extra_byte_.

Is it this one?
Alright! Manage to insert these custom power-up patches in SMW. And question, Is the darker palette for the Super Ball Power-Up for Mario intentional? The thing is when I got the 3.3.0 Patch top secret area version, Mario wore a Black shirt and red overalls while in the new 3.4.4 patch, Mario's colors are darker than before.
As a heads up, because it is inevitable that someone is going to hit this snag in the future, AddmusicK 1.0.9 uses the 1DFC sfx slots 36 and 37 for something, meaning the default sound effect slots that the pack provides should be remapped by the user. You can set them in \powerups_files\powerup_defs\powerup_0E.asm in the !FlightSFX and !SpinAtkSFX defines to be a new unused slot, then make sure what you put in AMK's Addmusic_sound effects.txt matches and you should be good to go.

does anyone have this problem in the version 3.44? when mario comes from a level or sublevel that is slippery then goes to an sublevel without it then recives a hit and shrunks or change to a diferent power-up the sublevel or level becomes splippery. anyone knows how to fix this?

After hundreds of completely missed tests, which did not work absolutely,
despite the very good tutorial to give by Thelx5, I was very disappointed,
but ultimately, after finding above in this discussion, a correction file provided by Hayashi Neru
( lx5 Powerups question mark blocks.zip Fixed to be compatible with GPS V1.4.3.)

I start everything once again, and there, a real miracle, everything works!

Very happy, except that thanks to that,
I will have to edit my whole hack but I am so happy that I will not complain!

Quickly on this forum, my 1st results in pictures!

Thank you to everyone who has done a piece of work on it,
it is very thanks to you all that I will be able to do the excellent work!
Especially with Mario Cat's!
It's me again...

After having managed to install this fabulous script which works perfectly,
I decided to test it in my hack which already includes a lot of script of all kinds ....

Again the installation is unrolling without problem and everything worked well but,
I have a few things in my hack which does not like at all this new script
and this pretty little things that I wanted to have absolutely in my hack,
Even after hours and hours spent reviewing everything,
changing things, simply doesn't want to work ...

The script in question that no longer works is so beautiful
