Yes.
A few things I've noticed:

The darker hills in the intro level's background seem to have an inverted palette. The shading is lighter than the primary color, which doesn't look right. Change it to fade into a darker color.

If I were you, I would put black outlines on the ground tiles in the snow level. Every other stage seems to have them, so for consistency's sake, I think that would make it look better.

Also, the darker dirt color on Cliff Mountain is a little strange-looking. Making it look more reddish, like the lighter color, would improve the look of this level, I think.

Otherwise, for a first hack, this doesn't look too bad at all. Keep on hacking! #tb{;)}

Yoshiatom's Post
Your overworld does look rather square and undecorated at the moment, try adding some variation on the OW's edges and varied detail, especialy on the second world. Also see this: LINK

Layout by Koopster!

<DeputyBS> I knew it
<DeputyBS> alcarobot is taking over the world through his truck dealership franchise
The desert world map is quite bland, you should decorate something there.

How About Now ?

The land palette is strange, it looks like a Nes style palette. Try adding better shading, especially for World 2.

EDIT: World 2's shading is inverted. The edges should be darker, not lighter. You should also do three layers of shading, instead of two. That would make it look much better.
is the desert palette... inverted?
World 1 palette is decent but too saturated, try lowering it. You should redo world 2 palette, it's terrible. Also you are using wrong borders in World 2, and there are some lines missing. But, from the old image, it's an improvement in the OW shape
The overworld looks very good, Rovio Fan. Have you created another sumbaps or new levels?

And Here It Is...

World 4:Mountain Cave

Please Note That I Didnt Create World 3 Yet Because I Out Of Idea For Creating City Overworld.
Better, but the grassland still has only 2 layers of shading, and the desert has 3, which is weird.
The grassland palette still has not enough contrast (?) so I suggest changing its colors. Remember, darker colors should be less saturated.
World 4 looks nice, yet it's a bit blocky. Not that much.

The level tile in the middle of the water doesn't look good, to be honest.

And Here It Is...

World 7:

Outer Space

World 8:Bowser Dark Valley

Please Note That World 8 Submap Is A Same Like Demo 1 That I Submited One Month Ago.

Honestly, I prefer the old water palette.
Also, you didn't change the level tile Mindevous mentioned?
And lastly, a suggestion: if I were you, I'd make the grass brighter.
Overworlds are fine, you know. I'm waiting for more levels.

From reading the comments, you really should improve on your hack and try to remove or change what they said, unless you already did so, since they were like a month ago. Also, Speaking Like This Is Irritating To Some Users, not to be rude.
I have a DeviantArt, if you do want to see my art on there. I don't really visit it much now, though.
