Go to Lunar Magic, search for any level that has the background you want to use. Just remember its level number.
Afterwards, go to the level you want to change and press . A new window will open. In this window, click and write the level number of the level you searched for earlier.

I did that with 116 and now everything is glitchy looking.

Because you have the wrong background tileset. In the level you copied the BG from, click look what is selected for FG/BG and select the same in your level.
If this results in your FG looking glichty, undo the changes, go back to the level you copied the background from, open look what GFX is selected in the BG1 slot, go to your level, click again, check the checkbox at the top, select the same GFX for the BG1 slot as in the level you copied from.
