Hi! Sorry, I guess. But I am Mario3andU. Because of a factory reset on my computer, It uninstalled everything, and because I forgot my password. I'll start working on the submap tomorrow.
Just a tip: ask for an account nuke (for your old account; both name nuke and account disable), and then ask for a name change to Lightvayne or Kieran. and type your password in a paper *runs*

As for me, I already know what to do with the status bar but I'm having a problem with Advanced Super Status Bar + Smallhacker's SBE.

I honestly would recommend Status Effect As it supports the Super Status Bar. Anyways...

I'm guessing it's supposed to be a desert, since it's yellow? Remove all the \ tiles, they look awful.

It's an okay start, the terrain is varied enough. But that's all I can say.

It's okay I guess. Since there's nothing but the palette and shapes, sorry if this is short, but hey, what can I do:
- I'm surprised that a beginner hacker like you has hue shifting in his palettes. Nice job, but you decreased the blue in the shadows and made it less saturated while it should be the opposite - more blue in the shadows and less saturation.
- There's really not much to say about the shapes, but hey, it doesn't have a crazy shape at least.

e: Also I really really hope that you will add some color variety. For example, some green cactuses would be nice. (if you were going for a desert-ish look, that is.)

e2: Oh, also, Erik557, you may want to change your ramp in the screenshot with lava:


What I fixed is:
- The old one went from dark to bright to dark.
- The old one went from desaturated to saturated to desaturated.
- The old one was a straight ramp.

@Berkay: It's actually animated, I tried to record a gif but it didn't record well due to this computer (it looks sloppy in the gif but good in LM):

Fake Edit: It does look like that in LM, dunno why, looked fine before. In the end I ended up ditching up that animation for this one:

Maybe I will just end using your suggestion instead of animating, IDK.

@Mario3andU/OmegaYoshi: I'm simply not liking those hills in the bottom, maybe if you give them another palette they might look fine. The center of the map looks, well, dull (?) and boring, mainly for the lack of decoration, I would rip some of those SMB3 skulls (y'know, the ones in Land of Koopa). Also, the fact of the \ tiles already mentioned. Also, I guess there will be levels in the upper part, and I see no space for stairs (maybe it's just me *shrugs*). I see a perspective error, too.

Also sent first PM to Mindevous (he got the additional two weeks) and second/final PMs to Cascade and RainbowShell. pls dont fail me #ab{;_;}

So, what do you people think of this? It's part of the second half of the level, the part the takes place in the dark. It's easier than the first half of my level, purely because it takes place in the dark. I dunno if I should do something else or not.

I don't even know if this merits being in the dark.

Ooh, I like the level design. Yes, I think the darkness does suit this part of your level, at least based on what I can see. Remember that darkness, as a gimmick, is suited to levels that feature tricky platforming or fast enemies. The bullet bills can be difficult to see in the dark. Think back to the last room of Bowser's Castle (Back Door.) It is the only dark level in the original SMW and the main enemies are black Ninjis, which are difficult to see in the darkness.

Yes, I'm releasing it, it now has a better RNG routine (thanks imamelia for his routine) and is usable for everyone.


I think that would be a cool boss purely because, well, it's one of Bowser's "henchmen" (dear God, I've never used that word in my life), and if Morton is rebelling against Bowser, then surely, he would fight his men too? Right?

@AlwaysANoob: Ooh that's actually pretty nice! I like the stone path The color choices are good, those one-block jumps are actually well designed and using net climbing as a gimmick is clever. Good job.
As for the boss, I may give it a shot to see what to change, cuz, you know, I want uniqueness in every boss (either small modifications to existing bosses, to an entire new thing).

Idea for the boss: Modify its graphics and attack routine to make him similar to a mummy Reznor, I can't think of a name and 2lazy4mockup but I want to see your opinions



LEVEL FEEDBACK - WARRIORS THICKET (by Cascade)
We have a nice adventure-oriented level here, which makes use of Spear Guys. We have a typical forest decoration here, and even if I'm not really fond of that FG palette (though it does look nice) and the BG palette is unchanged, the rest is fine.
Even if the level is fine, I considered that there are two main problems: some sections are flat and a bit repetitive (considering the only enemies were koopas, piranhas h. bros and spear guys), and the one-tile wide jumps that are a bit common in this level. Those are the main issues, let's pass to another things here:

I feel that the Spear Guy's palette is incorrect (look at the spear)

I think that you should put indication that the player can go down here.

Wrong corner tile. Also it shows one of the one tile jumps.

ahhh!

You might want to raise the time limit.

Please fix those issues and you're good to go.


LEVEL FEEDBACK - PLUTONIC CHASM (by Cascade)
Another adventure-themed level, taking place like, in a near-volcanic cave. I won't speak about aesthetics/decoration, as it's basically nonexistant. Altough the FG palette is good, I feel the BG palette is, like, weird, basically by the gradient.
I notice a lot of issues in this level that, sadly, make the level less enjoyable. Generally two main ones: the fact that a lot of the level parts consisted in mid-blind drops to lava parts, and some insane or hard jumps. Another issues:

Some examples of insane/hard jumps. Also notice the wrong corner tiles

Wrong corner tiles. Also that koopa puzzle may be hard if you're small Mario

Wrong lava priority. I have no idea why.

End-of-jump Enemy Encounter (EEE): the player has little time to react to that puntin' chuck.

No indication of where should I fall. This happened two times.

You used the bottom row, so I don't know what the fuck is solid or not!

Please fix those issues and you're good to go.

Both levels are nice in general, hope to see them fixed for inserting them #smw{:TUP:}
