However did you get the HUD:
1) to the bottom of the screen?
2) to resemble SMAS/SMB3's HUD?

Also does this mean no reserve items, or will the reserve item automatically be applied upon the button-push, like in the Adventure on Gemstone Islands demo?

About beta testing, It's too much early to think about this, since I need to fix many bugs from previous levels yet :P If I need beta testers in future, I'll let people know.

1 & 2) Yes and yes. I didn't though how this project will handle item box items. There's an SMB3 Inventory here in SMWC, but it is buggy and currently it is scrapped from my hack. For now I'll keep the Item Box the way it works in original Super Mario World.
The video is a nice piece of work. The Layer 3 is well ripped. Very good airship level.

Don't come to rely too much on that feedback, having a lot of feedback and then not getting any often makes people quit for some absurd reason, and I don't want to see that happen here.

Mhmm, I noticed people didn't liked these musics :P. Initially I was using these musics as a placeholder, then I'll be replacing these musics with SMAS Soundtrack for next levels. :P

I'm starting to see that. It's okay, I can see when the arguments are valid. For example, in this last vdeo, people have complained about the music choices. Since this hacks aims to resemble SMB3, it's valid to say: "Well, the musics should also fit the SMB3 style". This type of feedback makes me follow the right path, you see?

1) Are you using the Brutal Mario Koopalings? Or dahnamics' koopalings?
2) Are you using the Carol's Boom Boom Boss?
3) Are you using the Carol's SMB3 Boss? As far that i know, this boss is somehow buggy.
4) Will your hack feature the LX5 Powerup patch?

1) I'm using Brutal Mario Koopalings as a base. It's somewhat more easy to tweak carol sprites to make it acts the way I want.
dahnamics bosses are pretty lame to use.

2) Yes, I'm using carol's Boom Boom Boss.

3) Which boss is buggy? At least I didn't found anything wrong with them.

(And if someone wants to know: yep, I have permission to use all of these sprites.)

4) If possible, yes. I'm trying to figure out how to use this patch.
Currently I'm having some problems using it in my hack, so there's no news about new powerups.

I'm also having several problems with Addmusic K. Some sounds doesn't work correctly, and SMAS Sound Effects aren't 100% compatible with AMK.

Some old Patches also doesn't work. Here are a list of some things I'm needing to do:

Which SMAS SFXs are you using? The ones made by Koyuki and Midiguy in the music section or these ones? The first ones don't really work that well with the new Addmusic, unlike the latters. (These are not mine btw, I just forgot where exactly they're hosted)

Also, You can always use the generator version of the vertical-screen-teleport-gimmick thing. The teleporting effect isn't as smooth as the patch, but at least it get's the job done.

I'm talking about the SMB3 Bowser Boss made by Carol.

Ohh, actually the Bowser Boss works for me. The only problem I know is the custom block that comes with it, but LX5 rewrote it to work with GPS.

I won't use all Koopalings :P As I said, I'm using ONLY Lemmy Boss as a base to make other bosses. From lemmy I can make Larry, Iggy, etc. Every boss will spawn a different custom projectile and will have the ability to shake (or not) the ground, stunning Mario. So I won't use all the fancy stuff carol made. I want to make it as similar as possible to SMB3 bosses.

And yeah, most stuff from carol doesn't work with newer Tools.

Yep, I was using the Koyuki and Midiguy ones. I didn't know these last ones, I'll give a try and tell if the problems are solved! Thanks!

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. As you said, It's not smoother as the Patch version, but it does its job xD.

Finally I managed to remove some old Patches without messing up my ROM. I installed Custom Powerups Patch and now I'm reworking all TILEMAPs to fit SMB3 graphics. This will take some time to do, but it will work xD.

Oh, fine then, but just a reminder.

1) SMB3 Lemmy and Wendy spawn one projectile whenever that he/she was stomped.
2) Making earthquakes with Carol's Lemmy? It's sounds insane, unless that you coded the shell attack and decreasing for short period of time.
3) The original SMB3 koopalings spawn three circle-like projectile (and increasing a bit it's size), will it be featured on your re-coded bosses?
4) Will these Koopalings bosses spawn the magic wand when defeated?
Later I will discover how to do it. Also, I decreased the time of shell attack, and only some bosses will wave earthquakes.

About the circle projectile, I don't know how to replicate it yet, I will show more details of bosses when I finish the other gimmicks i'm working on.

And probably, I will try to replicate the magic wand xD. I think this stuff probably will be borrowed from Boom Boom code (when he spawns a goal point).

There's a lot of work to do yet. I'm remaking tilemaps of Small Mario, Super Mario, Fire Mario, Raccoon Mario, Cape Mario, Tanooki Mario to work with LX5's Powerup Patch.

Holy heck that looks impresive! If I had prior knowlage of this I'd likley think it was a driect hack of SMAS.

My only critsisim is that boomerang Mario's pallete looks a litte off.

Didn't expect to see the powerups inserted this soon, they look pretty sweet!

I do agree with yoshiatom, thought. The palette for the boomerang powerup's a little strange. You could try changin the grey and green colors with a dark blue and white respectively, y'know, to resemble the boomerang powerup from Mario 3D Land.

The other thing I noticed's that the bro powerups (hammer and boomerang) use a different head when mario's running.

Keep the good work! It's nice to see that my hopes for this preyect were not misplaced! (that's a strange thing to say, but eh.)

Thank you too! I was taking a look and it isn't a bad idea about using 3D Land colors!. Also, I will be fixing the running head poses to fit with the other suits.

For now, I'm working fixing stuffs that I think it is unnecessary to show here :P. The progress is going really slowly, but the main problems are fixed! Now I'm trying to fix problems with new Patches and with Custom Musics.

I haven't made new levels since then, probably next week I will return working on level design!
Looking very forward to this! Great work in capturing that familiar SMB3 feeling. :)

I'm becoming really busy with school these days, so progress will go slower from now on.

I haven't finished any level since then. I just made the main layout of some levels. I yet have to put HDMA, custom sprites, fix bugs from previous levels, and many more.



The good news is:
- Vertical Level Wrap is fixed

- Triangle Block is "fixed" too:



- Custom Music problems are also got rid.

There are some other minor gimmicks I'm implementing, but some are unfinished and some I don't have time to show. :P
