[NOT DEAD] The Final Fantasy World - Amalgamation Revived - Amalgamation Rebooted

Welcome to the world of Final Fantasy! Around here you'll probably see a mesh of things from the first six Final Fantasy games, and Mystic Quest ~~because who the hell do you think is hosting this~~ because Square made that too!
Oh, and because this is Amalgamation, expect other stuff as well. What other stuff? Who knows! ...Other than me. I know. I'm the host, I have to know these things.

You wake up in a forest. You don't remember falling asleep in a forest - in fact you quite clearly remember falling asleep outside a forest, or at least not in your current location. The forest is vast and filled with a whole lot of what looks to be monsters just standing around doing nothing. Mummies and ghosts, staying perfectly still, waving their arms around like they're supposed to be alternating between two frames of animation. Looks weird.

Then, the ground starts to shake. You look around to find the cause, and hear something massive fall from the sky - while it's still falling even - and look up to see what the hell it is.

Ah, a meteor. Seems legit.

The meteor continues falling, and lands in the branches of the largest tree you've ever seen, to the south. You hear a cry of pain, seemingly from an old man. There's a tree to the northeast that rivals it, but it looks like reality is warping over there. Strange, but maybe worth a look.

Possible exits are relative to your current location on the map. Follow the white paths to find out.

I may have to rely on you since this place is inhibiting my powers to a rather large degree - for chrissakes, we can't even fly here, though some of my gap manipulation and danmaku made it through alright. Come on Ran, bring Chen with you, we're off to investigate these odd tree-looking creatures."

Samus and Yukari head to the middle of the forest, onto the forced encounter tile! Neither of them know where they are, and both of them run into the same set of enemies!

"What is this strange looking girl doing in a place like this? She's not attacking me at the moment, so I suppose I'll side with her against these... things."

Samus fiddles with her arm cannon for a second.

"I'm a little underarmed at the moment, but this should work..."

Samus fires a missile at Poltergeist 2.
