Hi all,

Now that my university exams are over (or actually, for 3 months), I was finally able to get a good grip on this level. Here are the first few screens.


Going for a jungle/forest + ruins feel. Hope you like it!

I like the aesthetics very much, and see Dino-Rhinos being used is very unusual. I am not very fond of the palette of those though, you can maybe make something more dark brown-like.
The design, while not very hard (not that that's bad), looks very nice. Looking forward to this one.

Since I started this late, I tried to do some more today. I changed the palette of the rhinos, and I also added a new ruin decoration made of the castle tiles to spice those parts up a bit.

I like that green moss on the castle FG tiles, the Rhino's palette definitely improved and design looks nice overall. I would toy with palettes 6 and sprite palettes too, though.

Finished roughly 60% of the level now. I'm not sure what to do with palette 6 as you suggested. I think the coins/question blocks look fine as they are personally.

Second section will still have some forest/jungle, don't worry. I felt like making a small indoor section.
Huh, that yoshi coin is in a very challenging position. Nice!
Nice usage of turn block bridges too, this is turning out to be a very nice level.

It's done! I think at least. No music inserted yet.

This level was fun, but there were some sections at the end that you should change.

The spike pictured here made me very impatient because most times the turn block bridge expanded the spike did too. Also nitpick: there's a bit of blue color in the log.

This spike is punishing. I would change the turn block bridge to an horizontal and vertical variant.

Please raise the time limit.

Fix those and this should be good.

Also a suggestion: you could use the gold Bowser statues more in the level, I only saw them at the end.
Oh, and sorry for the feedback delay, I had few problems with my PC which are fixed now.
great level with tricky platforming and well-thought-out design, just two issues

first playthrough i thought this ground was solid, though that might have just been me being stupid

please change this setup a bit, it takes forever for the spike on the left to not block the way when the turn block bridge is extended

overall a great level otherwise, i accept it but the second issue bothers me and i would prefer it if you fixed it, your choice though
Apologies for the late reply. Thanks a lot for reviewing my level!


- Pencils and turn-block bridges are indeed hard to time together. I changed some things around so an annoying situation is a lot less likely to occur.
- Darkened the mossy castle tiles a tad to increase clarity.
- Replaced some enemies with jumping bowser statues as Erik557 suggested.
- Small cutoff fixes and increased time limit.

e: well seeing how it's just a level file and map16 i'll go ahead and just extract it. just tell me the level name and the music.
