Hello, all.. Well, here I am, again. Trying to finish something. Well, how do I start? I don't know, If anyone really remembered this.
Super Mario Planet is a hack that I started a very long time ago, a hack, that has only one goal: giving you back that nice Super Mario Odyssey feeling back, that you used to love as much as I do. Super Mario Odyssey is a hack, that was made in 2003 and so far...nothing like this was made ever again. So I started to create a "tribute hack", so to speak.. I even posted a demo in BMF's (creator of Super Mario Odyssey) forum, to get his opinion about this.

I very hope you feel the same way! I am giving my best, to bring you back a sweet nostalgia feeling hack. Critics are ALWAYS welcome, don't be shy. In this thread I will post updates, screenshots and maybe answer some questions.

There are none! Guess I've been a little TOO dramatic there with my entry post! Hehe! Thank you, glad you like it. There are some screens on its way.
Okay, cool. Does that background scroll like the one in SMO did?
It does not yet. But it will before I release a demo in the future. Still trying to make it work.. I am a little slow with ASM and other tool stuff, takes alot of time for me to understand. I always do something wrong there, hehe! But parallax scrolling is planned, yes, it will

The graphics are really good, nice self-drawn backgrounds which really match to a Mario game in my opinion.
I am pretty sure that if you keep on doing it this way you could be able to get a "Super-Mario-Odyssey-like-feeling".
Also the title screen is amazing, it's something special and very unique.

Well the title screen is pretty much Odyssey, so it's hard to point out anything wrong about it (blatant idea theft maybe, but who's to judge that in ROM hacks). Nice job on replicating it!
The only thing that bothers me (and probably just me personally, so don't read too much into it) is the repeating of the title initials at the bottom. In a couple of other hacks I've seen the title dropped on the overworld or even in the status bar just because they can, and it's just like... why? What's the purpose?
Your SMP logo isn't nearly as bad, but still, have you considered just putting a picture of a planet there?
Thank you all for your critic. I am working a bit slow but really hard, to make every single level unique. I am still trying to make very little things work. (ASM, HDMA). I've been redrawing graphics and rebuilding levels so many times. I really hope you will enjoy this. I have a little level to show for you: The very first level of the brand new Super Mario Planet. Thanks to my dearest friend DaXShock (a.k.a Sindbard), who helped me ALOT with parallax scrolling.
Also, I had plans for costum music. As some of you know, I am trying to keep this hack as original as possible, costum music is not something I want to use BUT he surprised me with this midi...Maybe you can expect some bonus challenges? Let me know, what you think.
