What do you use to play SMW hacks? Please state the emulator(s) and/or flash cart(s) you use, as it's interesting to know.

I play hacks on both: SNES (Super EverDrive) & emulators. (SNES9x 1.53 & ZSNES 1.51)

Hi.
I use Snes9X GX(A port of snes9x to the wii) or ZMZ. I would like to play hacks on a real console using something like SD2SNES but it's so expensive :/
SNES9x 1.53

Snes (super everdrive) mostly, when Im working on hack then snes 9x for quick testing.
bsnes v0.7
A combination of ZSNES and SD2SNES.

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Snes9x, with the occasional dip into bsnes and bzsnes. ZSNES's audio does nothing for me.

ZMZ (with the original core)

I guess I have no reason to not switch to Snes9x, other than maybe the GUI. But eh
zmz with balanced core because apparently accuracy hates me (latest core crashes)
Please check out BOWSIE!

Been playing hacks with ZSNES a lot before, but decided to switch to ZMZ (with the original core) sometime ago.

I'd really like to get a flashcart for my SNES, but yeah, they're expensive.

Currently, I play hacks through RetroArch (Snes9x core). I like the CRT filters, there's settings to sync your video and audio so you don't get screen tearing/audio stuttering, and if you use the bsnes core, RetroArch will also be a very accurate SNES emulator, at the cost of some performance on low-end PCs.

Sometimes, I'll use Snes9x 1.53 or Higan 0.95 balanced. Snes9x has some very strange input lag on my PC, but it's good for recording high-quality AVIs. Higan will let you sync your video/audio, which is nice. I actually still open ZSNES once in a while, mostly out of habit. Also it has a really good fast-forward button. ZMZ has audio crackling issues, and it bugs me too much to use it #tb{D'X}
Mostly SD2SNES when I can. I've recently started dabbling with an older version of SNES9xGX on the Wii for broken hacks. I have the newest version of SNES9xGX installed for Yoshi's Island and Super Mario RPG hacks but I find the input delay unbearable for some reason. Not sure why that happens only in that version. Lastly, for quick testing, I used either SNES9x v1.53 or BizHawk.
Your layout has been removed.
I use mostly SNES9x 1.53v and sometimes the Geiger's debugger for ASM stuff (version is 1.51 btw.). Of course, if a hack use MSU-1 I I have to incrase the performance (which is possible on a laptop) and use ZMZ.
ZMZ/bsnes and BizHawk.
ZMZ and Snes9X. I used ZSNES a long time ago but glitches and bad accuracy forced me to switch to something else.

Emulator, because ain't no one got time money for buying flashcarts. Snes9x 1.53, mainly. I'll use Snes9x 1.51 for broken hacks. And if it's SO broken that it won't even work on THAT, then I pretty much have to use ZSNES... Which is The Suck™, because the audio is horrible and it likes to trap my mouse cursor.

I don't often play hacks, though, and pretty much never finish them when I do, so... :/

Snes9x 1.53
SNES9X 1.53, bsnes 0.72 (for debugging), and higan 0.92. I have a SNES, but no flash cart.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
dont play smw hacks anymore but I use higan, I'd use retroarch if the gui was better

For casual play it's often still ZSNES, though I'll switch to a more accurate one for certain games/hacks.
