Cool, I'll play this a little later and give my thoughts on it.

Alright! Hopefully you will enjoy it!
I think you improved quite a bit since you first showed this hack. It looks really pretty now, nice job! I especially love that overworld, it's really well-made. Great work on that #tb{:D} The enemies are nice too.
Good luck with this, it's really good so far #tb{:>}

Thanks alot!#tb{:)} Glad you like the look of it!
Time for a short review:

First of all I love your art style, your background, overworld graphics, enemie graphics and that player graphic is super cute as well. Actually everything is looking super nice.

The overwotld is neat, loving all of the decorations, also how long are you planning to create this hack, one world or several worlds with different themes?

However I must say that I don't always like the level design, especially the first level could use some work. The palette could be a bit better (escpecially the foreground should be a bit darker, since it's a night-time level). Also was there another way to the autoscroll section, than by going into the bonus room (they were all way too easy to find), there wasn't anything if I continued walking right? Also as a small nitpick it would be better if you come out of pipe, after going into a pipe. The autoscroll section was okay-ish but a little bit short and bullet bills were most of the time the only enemies.

The ice level was by far my favourite one (level design + graphics). It had lots of variety and there's just one thing I dislike. On screen 5 (yep I'm using lunar magic, but just to better discribe would you could improve) the jump from the second grey platform was pretty hard compared to the rest of the level.

The desert level was also a neat one, I however think i would be better if the pyramid would be build of slopes. And the quick sand being no harm anymore if you've got a star is pretty odd. But the level was pretty fun, with some hidden extras (1-ups, powerups...) to find.

Can't say a lot about the cave(?) level, it was ok-ish the design was nothing special but it wasn't bad either. There could have been a bigger variety of enemy types.

This hack definitely has a lot of potential and I really liked playing it, can't wait to see more of it in the future.

Edit:
This is just too cute :D
Check out my new hack thread:

Thanks, I have been trying to make it look nice!

"The overwotld is neat, loving all of the decorations, also how long are you planning to create this hack, one world or several worlds with different themes?"

Well I plan for the hack to be 20+ levels(kinda short) also here's a WIP map that still has alot to fix.

Good point I will make FG darker. Yeah there was, however its not much at all as I wanted the first pipe to catch the players eye so they understand that pipes are somewhat rare but always have something of value. I agree that they're a bit easy to find so I will probably make them harder to find with the exception of the first one. Yeah I can extend the autoscroll section and add a little more enemy variety.

Glad to hear it was your favourite! Also yeah I can easily fix that!

I am considering making them slopes but I feel like I might actually be annoying as you will be constantly falling although I guess I can always try it to see if its the case. Yeah the star idea is a little odd but I thought it would be a cool change for the level as you had been avoiding touching the quicksand the whole level until that point.

"Can't say a lot about the cave(?) level, it was ok-ish the design was nothing special but it wasn't bad either. There could have been a bigger variety of enemy types."

Is there anything I could add to make it more interesting? Also I can add more variety in the enemy's.

This hack definitely has a lot of potential and I really liked playing it, can't wait to see more of it in the future.

Again thanks alot! I really liked the review! #tb{:DD}

I've been following this hack for a while, and I can say the screens look promising. I'll play the demo when I have enough free time and I'll give you some feedback on it. :)

I found the time. It's quite a fun demo. All the levels the have their own charm to them. I can't really suggest much but here are some things I thought:

In the desert level maybe you could make the pyramids act like slope tiles? It's not bad it just caught me off guard playing it for the first time. I like the idea of the star potion having to be used to go on quicksand thought!

Also in the level Red Rage on the Line Ride section the spikes on the ceiling are a little hard to see because they share close colours to the background. Not a massive issue but yeah... XD

Finally I gotta say I love the Big Po running animation. Very cool.
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to another demo/progress.

:')

Thanks I'm happy you had fun!

Yeah I was thinking about testing the level with slopes as someone else had mentioned it, however my only concern is that it might make the level annoying. Also I am glad that you like the star potion idea as I wasn't sure if most people would agree with it! :)

I will probably just change the spikes palettes to avoid anyone else getting a cheap death #tb{:D}

Haha I'm pleased that you like the animation as I didn't think anyone would really pay attention to it! + I also recently redid most frames so I happy it looks nice. :)
Again thanks for taking your time to give feedback!
