Tip: If you give a Muncher tile custom graphics, it will still act like a coin when a silver P-switch is active, whether it looks like a coin or not. ExAnimation solves this problem.

After a month of procrastination "work" only now I decide to make a thread. #ab{:P}

Anyway, Here's a screenshot of the second sublevel., (which focuses on the lakitu cloud) I planned to make the first sublevel a vertical level, but it's going to go through massive redoing because, well, just look at it. It's a mess of vanishing sprites & just not playing out well (Mainly thanks to me not testing it as I built it.)

So this level's development isn't going well, but I want to finish and not have 2 dropped levels in a row.

I already gave feedback on IRC, so I'll go straight to the point:
-Change that 3-Up moon to an 1-Up.
-The bullet bill section is really overkill, remove the silent bullet bills.
-Volcano Lotus + Pitchin' Chick + Hammer Bro is a no-no. The extended sprites will very probably dissapear for the excess of them (and it's very hard too)
-The fish generator makes no sense. Change it for something else.
-The Puntin' Chuck os probably too much of a hassle, but I'm not sure.

Other than that good work! I can't wait to play it since it looks challenging.

And after no less than about 2 months (eep!), update no. 2!

Changes:
3up is now a 1up
Spaced out the bullet bills, should be less kazio-like.
Removed a couple of volcano lotouses.
Didn't change the fish generator just to annoy Erik (I personally think it's more of a challenge than, say, a bullet bill generator. Perhaps I should get a GFX swap?)

Now I just need to get a decent BG... as well as make the rest of the damned level! #tb{O_O}

Played the IPS you posted on IRC.
There's a chuck above the bill blaster wall that is really annoying to avoid. Also I'm not sure of the fish generator with those GFX. You could get some vanilla GFX swap.
Other than that challenging but fun! Looking forward to the first (!) part.

jesus the second section it was fucking savage

The problem I found was the introduction of some sprites that are only used once through the level, including:
- Hopping Flames
- Throwing Lakitu
- Hammer Bro
- Puntin' Chuck
- That annoying as fuck fish generator (remove this one for the sake of my sanity)

Apart from that there were some lag situations but that's not really a problem since vertical level tend to be more laggy.
I would either change the enemies you use or introduce them more in the level. Oh and get some fitting music.
Overall a pretty challenging level. It had some issues though:

You get barely any time to react to this kicked shell:

Floating munchers:

Cutoff where the slope meets the wall:

These bouncing footballs are very annoying to get through:


Also I disagree with the fish generator being annoying, since I had no problem with it. The hammer bro and throwing lakitu were fine too in my opinion, but I agree with the rest of the enemies Erik listed, so for me it's a change.

Updated version

Changes:

-Fixed the cutoff and flunchers (seriously, how did I not notice them? #smw{-_-2})

-Added an extra Lakitu (replacing the hopping flame) & Punt'n Chuck.

-Moved the kicked koopa shell forward 2 tiles, give the player more time to react.

-Redesinged a small section involving a Lakitu.

-Removed a ('murican) football.

As for music, does this fit the bill? inb4 it doesn't

The level is better but it still has some issues:

These bouncing footballs are still annoying since they can sometimes hurt you from below even though it seems they might not, so I'd suggest replacing them with something else or just removing them:

I'd suggest you to lower this pipe 1 or 2 tiles since sometimes it's hard to get past it without getting hit by the fish generator:
If you hit the goal post at the correct time it's posibble to get killed by the autoscroll before the level ends:

I'd get rid off one of the Pitchin' Chucks on the right:

The level is kind of in a sane difficulty now so accepted.

To note that due to the slowdown generated in vertical levels the BG is kind of fucked in some areas, I'll fix this soon.
Finally everything's fixed, and I couldn't find any other issues so I accept it too.
