I drop by the kaizo forum from time to time, because you guys always come up with great ideas to use vanilla/custom resources in a new and different way. It's a great way to see new possibilities with old sprites and can give you a creative spark if you need one #tb{;)}

Well if the danmakus are not blue/purple I'm ok with that #tb{XD}

Can't wait to see what you did in stage 1 #tb{;)}

Project C

Nice first level. It exploits the layer swap glitch in an unique way (as well as that one automatic walk gimmick). Before getting to the vertical room, after taking a hit you can do the same stunt you did to collect two mushrooms in one, breaking said room with the green baby Yoshi by simply feeding it the mushroom from the item box rather than the coins. You could also remove filler rooms like the one with the boost block (it doesn't add much to the level to be honest, but eh).

Undertakel?
Kinda reminds me of the Abuse and Die series, except with more realistic looking palette choices (so far).
The message box said 'Difficulty ranges from Light Kaizo to Pit.' I did not see any light Kaizo at all. Seems like you're being careful to only provide blocks that have bounce sprites when necessary, since you require block cloning. I also like the auto-walk room.

SirNectarine (my IRL friend) actually pointed that out. I thought thatt wouldn't be possible considering you have to take a hit in the next room, therefore losing the mushroom. I dunno, I'll have to try that out for myself.

I put that in so I could exploit the glitch where Mario jumps really high when going at such a fast speed. I might remove it, but I'll be using that glitch later on.

It was supposed to be an indicator that there was something above (i.e. the key).

Well, this hack is heavily inspired by the Abuse and Die series (Particularly A&D3), so I can see why you would say that. As for realistic palette choices, that'll only be for the first four stages, after that, things will get trippy.

Didn't know what the definition of Light Kaizo was when I was typing out the message box. Personally I didn't really think this level was that hard, that's why I said that.

The auto-walk has been one of my favorite gimmicks to use. If you remember my level 7ubular, you'll see that gimmick used there as well.

#w{xD} That's one way to put it.

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I'll try to get stage 2 done before summer break.
Well, progress is slow as always. I haven't touched Stage 2 since I made that preview. I did do some other stuff however.

Stage 5 (House of Insanity) is divided into four different sections:
1. Somewhat normal section
2. Trippy section
3. Even trippier section
4. Boss A somehow trippier section

In between each section will be a little puzzle. I've already made the first one, although it isn't really a puzzle more than its something I really wanted to do.

The trick here is that you can't just run up the stairs, because there are death blocks at the top and bottom. The reason these are there is because if I didn't put them there, Mario would simply fall from the top of the screen, completely defeating the purpose of the level wrap.

These are what the aesthetics will look like for the first two sections. Section one is on the left, and section two is on the right. I haven't done the third one yet because I'm going to make my own ExGFX for it, which will be reused later on in the hack for reasons that will be explained later.

Also, here's the beginning of Stage 10 (The Great Yoshi Massacre):

Despite how it looks, this actually wasn't very hard. I didn't even need slowdown to do it (I did it with 25% speed on Snes9x-rr 1.53). I did this awhile ago, so I thought I'd post it here.

And for those who aren't subscribed to my YouTube channel, here are a couple things:
-Bonus Stage 1 Preview
-Some reverse gravity stuff
-A little glitch I discovered
-Juggling five mushrooms at once

That's all I have for now. Happy April everybody!
I like the recent update. That one bonus level has improved significantly from your last attempt at it (was it in one of your earlier hacks?), and I'm hoping to see the rest. As for the screenshots of the ghost house, they aren't bad so far, although I foresee the reverse gravity being overused soon (and I'd stick to solely one tileset instead, but it's up to you).
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
Looks good, only the bonus stage preview looks odd .

Yes it was. I wanted to remake it.

Well I wanted to spice things up a bit. It's called "House of Insanity" for a reason after all.

Thanks for the feedback.
Looking forward to seeing the pit levels!

Oh hey, didn't expect to see you here. Hi!

Yeah, its probably going to be easy pit, but pit nonetheless.

EDIT:

Here are a few screens of what the final stage will be like:

This is the beginning of the stage.

This is the bonus game room (level 0). This comes into play during the final stage after you collect 100 stars. You have to dupe the blocks above into a pattern where you get stuck inside and die so that you re-enter the level at the midway point.
Reminds me of Super Puzzle World 3 and the bonus room...
Just wanted to give you guys a little update.

My grades took a bit of a dip, so I'm shifting my focus away from my hobbies and towards my school work. You probably won't see any updates until summer rolls around when I have more time.

This hack is by no means dead, I'm simply taking a break.
Meh, this hack's alright.

well I always wanted to port this one, however with my skills I don't think I'm able too, at least soon (specially considering how this one song uses effects such as pitch modulation).

Well said there, me.

Anyway, I need some people to port music for Pandora´s Box's, and I wanted to list the songs here. I have no SPC's or MIDI's yet, those won't come for awhile as I'm busy IRL right now.

I may take some of them for you, eg. these Chrono Trigger songs.

That'd be fantastic! If you're gonna do them, could you also do A Desolate World? I forgot to add that to the list.

Final Fantasy VI - The Fierce Battle

It's been a while since I've done anything to SMW, so I'll do this one.

Also, as a little note, the final boss theme from Chrono Trigger uses Square's Pitch Oscillation command to make the Sawtooth of the beginning, and said command was only available in AddmusicM and Kipernal thought it wasn't worth adding to AMK, so it might not be possible to make a perfect port of it.
