Honestly so am I.

I wasn't doing good in school so my parents didn't me work on anything. Then when I finally WAS able to work on something I had no motivation to work on it because this project is so huge.

Downsizing it and making it more light is the way to go. My new hack will basically be Pandora's Box with main feature changes and a new name. Super Decoy Land or something to that effect.

Will it feature any artificial zeppelins?

AbuseFreakHacker brought my inspiration back. This hack will live again.

So I plan to get this hack back up and running again soon. I'll be working on the baserom this weekend and once I get some stuff done I'll make a fresh thread (this one is really outdated now).

Question though. Should I sacrifice FuSoYa's pipes patch so I can use SA-1, or should I keep FuSoYa's pipe patch and not use SA-1? I ask because I plan on doing some neat glitches with the pipes patch.

Do you feel like it's necessary to insert SA-1 into your hack?

You can choose whichever option you feel is best, although it depends on the effects on your ROM. You already have or had some instances of FuSoYa's pipes being used according to my memory, but you can keep using the older version just so you don't sacrifice the existing glitches (but then that would basically mean ditching SA-1 since that version is incompatible).

Not really but I feel like I wouldn't be slowed down (quite literally) if I used it.

sa1 isn't worth using imo considering how much it limits what else you can do to your rom (unless you plan to work with the limitations from the beginning). ghb's screen scrolling pipes are sa1 compatible but are much more complicated

sa1 can only be inserted into a fresh rom anyway. an edited rom will break

Not to mention that you'd need to work with the limitations of GHB's pipes if you do plan on inserting them, since most glitches from the old version of FuSoYa's pipes won't exist anymore.

Oh I'm fully aware of that. The glitches that are still there are fun to mess with though.



Was planning on starting on a new rom anyway so this won't be a problem.
