lag is like, prevalent. tides and lakitus just hate each other. I don't really know a good way to fix it

I thought it was lame. Whipped something up, asked SNN about 2 years ago, he said yeah he agreed and said go ahead. Then I stopped working on SMWCP2. It was brought up recently, I asked Lui, he said yeah he's fine with it. Then Magi voiced that he agreed with the reremake being lame. So yeah.
I have to ask, how many other levels are going to be "reremade"? I mean, at this point, the hack is three years old, so it would only make sense if we are going to improve its level design we also improve others, yes??? Hell, we're already trying to revamp the soundtrack.

well, no other levels really. Towards the end there's going to be a full rereview of the hack, and certain obstacles in levels would probably tweaked (especially regarding the smwcp coins considering how obtuse some of them are). Essentially all level will be the same. Even then, level making doesn't take long at all.

well, I am retouching my own level (the blue switch palace), since I was both asked by others (Magi, and I think SNN and DeePay once all voiced concern about its length at one point) and the fact that I don't really like some of the choices I did in the level.

I guess we can only hope no problems arise during final testing if it ever comes to that. I'd hate for some of the nostalgic feelings of this hack to disappear because of standard changes and SMWCP2 not reflecting the current abilities of the site anymore. After all, the hack's level design was complete around three or so years ago at this point. I mean, its one thing to tweak levels and upgrade sounds and graphics to be more consistent, but to completely change a level is a rise for some kind of flag for personal worry from any authors that may still be around.

I actually think it is a good idea to tweak some stuff in the levels we have. I'm open to tweaking some stuff myself as well. I don't think opening up a thread for that is completely out of question, if someone is up for being in the lead that is.
If anything amh, this level was started towards the end of the level making cycle (when final level was being made and new world 6 castle was being made) only recently was this brought up again. But yeah there shouldn't be any worries.
I like the way this is looking so far. Otherwise, I'm going to use the level that's being replaced in my own work. I feel I need to say something about that otherwise people would probably say "Hey, you stole from SMWCPII" or something like that.
So, is there any progress on this? SMWCPII is going to release this year. It's been a little while and nobody knows if this is still a thing or not. If no progress is shown by 6/12/2016, then I'll open this level for claiming, and another person can take the spot or it will be omitted entirely.

I'm still of the opinion of just leaving the level alone.

The thing about that is that it can't be left alone, I already recycled the level, so it has to have a new one made either way.

To be fair, I did say that if I see any signs of my levels being replaced in SMWCP2, I would immediately reuse their design in my own works, with or without approval or notification. Even though the statement was made a year or so ago, it doesn't change the fact it stands true; and I make due on what I say, even if some (or most) don't agree with it.

I'm not about to replace the level in my own works as I already went out of my way to include it and work it in; the only thing that can be done is either:
• Finish this new level/find somebody who will
• Omit it entirely
Yes, I will make this hard.
Is there a specific gimmick that needs to be followed for this level? Perhaps maybe I'll take it on myself if there's nobody else, even though I have an embarrassing history with this hack...

I met some problems a while back with the tides making the level close to unplayable. I took some time off which turned into, well, a month and counting of time off.
I could easily just restart the level but hey, if I'm holding anything back I ain't complaining.

Should be quick. There's only one part done, and two coins. Aesthetics are dumpy but I ain't focusing on that right now. The dead hammer bros has an active hitbox because of a bug so ya'll be careful around that. Other than that, I was wondering if anyone knew how the floor generator is used (if it is used at all). Was wondering if it was inserted as a generator or level asm instead.
