If Wander over Yonder is ever rebooted the same way (shoehorned dated memes, changed art style), someone will have to protest by volunteering to pour gasoline on him/herself, and set themselves aflame like the Vietnamese Buddhist monks.
First Teen Titans Go and now this.
I really hope they make it more the old one but seeing how everyone is a dick about violence in cartoons (even if it's really small) and the old show used to be pretty violent (ie Episode 9b Bubblevicious) and a few themes it had everyone can't even talk about nowdays i doubt they would be able to make it good as the original, ever.
Not even the Brazilian dubs are the same! That's pretty bad.
idk I've stumbled across pieces of an episode today and it... just doesn't feel the same. I always loved the classic PPG episode style, and I feel some of it results from it being an old cartoon, so I doubt it'll ever be truly replicated unfortunately. I did not feel the drama and slow motion of the classic cartoon. Didn't even hear any of the sound effects or drum & bass-y action tracks.
I think it's silly to say reboots ruin things though. People can still only consider the old cartoon if they wish! Or, at least, try to.

I don't get why cartoons need reboots anyway. Just play the original show on the network. You can never beat the original.
Don't you get it? It's all about the money, to use any means to attract money, whether it pleases other people or not. It's all about themselves, It's all about becoming a "money god."
Believe me, very well aware of the money grubbing nonsense of many moviemakers, cartoon animators, television writers. My point is, you can make the same amount if not more money playing the originals than you would spending the time and money to make a half-assed remake. Whether they ever understand that is a different story.
Many things were popular due to the culture they existed in. For example, The Simpsons would never of had the cultural impact it did had it been created any earlier or later than it was. It became so well known and influential not only due to its own merits, but due to the environment it was in.
Powerpuff Girls reruns don't have the same appeal to audiences that a "new" show would for that and other reasons.
Let me just say that I love the original Powerpuff Girls. Despite me not really getting into the show until this year, since I was born at the time when the show was starting to end. Yet, even I though I only started to watch this since this year, it stands as one of my favorite shows, along with Ren & Stimpy, Regular Show, and many others. However I can't say the same for this reboot. Seeing as it stands as only being mediocre with it's writing, art style, plot, and
jokes. While some moments can be funny, the rest is just meh.
Also, this show is trying to be "modern" by adding stuff like this:
and of course...
The ironic thing is, the more you modernize something, the more dated it will be in a few years.
The point is, this reboot sucks. Because twerking.
