boot·leg
/ˈbo͞otˌleɡ/

Normally, “bootleg” refers to goods illegally sold and distributed, without proper taxation, and at a loss to the original manufacturer of the goods. This can apply to anything, from booze to cigarettes to designer jeans, etc., as long as it is sold and distributed by other than legal means. Today the term is primarily used to describe stolen audio/video recordings that are illegally sold and distributed on the Internet.

I know all about counterfeiting, pirating and bootlegging because I sell bootleg CDs and other material on the Internet. Give me a call if you need anything.

There are so many bootleg products (not to mention bootleg games though) not just in my country but around the world. (Have you ever seen Michaelsoft Binbows sign, New Super Mario Bros. The Hedgehog, amiiqo, those iPhone stuff, and Game Child?) It may look weird but it sounded too funny for people who are hardly for stuff. And later on, I've found a page called Bootleg Stuff and subreddit called r/crappyoffbrands, which two of them showcase a truckload of bootleg products. I almost kept laughing at those pics! #tb{XD}

Now did you guys have bootlegs around? Discuss.

And so the Courier who had cheated death in the cemetery outside Goodsprings cheated death once again, and the Mojave wasteland was forever changed.

Is the new trend to just not put stuff where they're supposed to be?

Also yes I have, and have played many. They're all terrible, of course.
I have counterfeit Pokémon and YGO cards...?

I don't really know what to discuss on this thread tbh.

Any bootlegs/product knockoffs related to games can apply, but don't underestimate it.

Bootlegs aren't restricted just to games, you know. Also yes, I have seen bootlegs before. A LOT.
A change of scenery is always nice.

There's a bootleg of Dawn Of The Black Hearts from the band Mayhem, but I genuinely don't recommend googling it.

DotBH was an awesome album. Google it if splattered brains doesn't bother you.

Also, I am also a fan of bootleg games. Check this page out, and as for a specific title, I would recommend Kart Fighter. Just make sure to put it on easy cause it's pretty difficult

ya i've bought bootleg movies before. there's an Asian mall in a town near mine that used to have a ton of bootleg and counterfeit stuff, people used to go their for cheap DVDs. it would be crappy bootlegs, often with hardcoded Chinese subtitles, but they were dirt cheap. my dad would sometimes bring back similar bootlegs when he went on business trips to Asia. some of them were passable quality, some were filmed in the theatre, some weren't even the right movie. might try to find them and edit this later with the funniest bits of mistranslation i can find on the covers, there was some ridiculous stuff.

Robo Vampire
Robo Vampire is the best Robocop movie ever.

Don't forget this little gem too.

Ooooh noooo...
Ah, and don't forget this one as well.

Harry Potter Obama Sonic! What the absolute fuck!
...And this...

Finally! A game system for me!
...Perfect for children with no necks!
A change of scenery is always nice.

It is infamous for bearing a photograph of Mayhem's singer, Dead (Per Yngve Ohlin), after his suicide in April 1991. The photograph was taken by Mayhem's guitarist, Euronymous (Øystein Aarseth), when he discovered the body.

Yep, that's black metal alright

Remind me to give it a listen sometime

My dad once spent some time in Moldova. When he came back, he brought with him a radio he gave to me as a gift. The radio was from the brand "SQNNY", where the font looked exactly like in the SONY logo. It was hilarious and I used the shit out of that radio's record function (it had a built-in microphone for recording your voice).

I definitely agree with danwaleby here, since there's actually for bootleg games. (I tried playing Kart Fighter and it worked!)

Finally, you got a lot of them here, kid.

Moving on, I found this bootleg product on Twitter right now.

Also, huge image of a ninja turtle holding a gun (wtf?).

Shredder is dead and we've killed him.

By the way, not technically a bootleg, but this is too amazing (literally) to not post here:

It just feels like a bootleg to be honest.

This one was what sparked my interest in bootlegs in the first place

On the topic of Dawn of the Black Hearts, it has some pretty bad audio, actually. I don't care if that makes it more kvlt/vndergrovnd/svartmetal. It just sounds bad.

Honestly, the only real reason people tend to flock to it is the controversy and shock-value behind the cover. Sure, it's one of few recordings to feature Dead on vocals, but I would honestly go with 'Live in Leipzig' or 'Out from the Dark' if you want to catch a listen to his vocal work. You could also check out his other band, Morbid.

It's too bad he couldn't wait to off himself until AFTER the debut studio album was recorded. Attila's vocal-work on it sucks fucking ass.
At least the album features Dead's lyrics though.

My layout has removed you.
Agreed.

There are tons bootleg music not just in stores but on the Internet. (I was looking for Meghan Trainor's Better When I'm Dancin' MP3 download and all I got was a bootleg recording.)

And there are bootleg toys that are happening right now:

chitty chitty bang bang bang (huge image)
If you love this, you'll LOVE it even more! (same)
Megaman, DUH. (same same)

And some others:

OH NO! (same same same)
Shantae must be disappointed for this!

Back when Titanic was originally out in theaters, we watched it via bootleg, i.e. someone who recorded the entire movie from the theater on the camcorder. Throughout you could see shadows of people moving about the theater.

Same here, but with District 9.

Same with Mr. Bean's Holiday.

Speaking of Titanic:

Shantae must be disappointed for this! (Again...)

Brazilian Nestlé Wars, anyone?

And as you might know it, this might be .

But besides, it still doesn't beat the best and grandest bootleg of them all:

Thats right,
SUPER MARIO 14!
