I'm thinking about editing the models of the levels in the original game. But is it possible to rip them or are there rips available somewhere?

Thanks for the amazing layout LDA!
Ah, never knew so many different rips existed. Thanks.

So how do you replace the models of objects like enemies or create custom objects?
Do you have Skype? I can give you any level/area from that game: RIPUED
Or you can send me a quick PM.
Does anyone have all of the levels' models? Maybe I should rip the rest of them myself. I want to show how the SM64 world will be in the game's future and creating new levels or just editing objects with TT64 won't achieve the effect I want.

Maybe trying to make the models look similar to the original levels would be my best option, but that would also be hard to do. Especially for areas like inside the castle that wouldn't change much unlike land structures.

Also,

It's best to download your rips from the models resource, even if .skp files are rarer there, and you'll have to convert alot of what you download.

I can't find any software that converts mtl to skp. How do I convert them?
Well there is a plugin out there that let's you import objs.

I see. But it won't help me much because I don't even have the models for most of the levels. I settled for having to making similar levels from scratch.

If it's so simple, then why didn't anyone rip the other SM64 models? I literally never ripped a single sprite and I don't think I would do a good job. If someone to rip the models, they might as well do it right and upload the models for everyone else to use.

That being said, I already decided to drop my idea of editing the original level models. It'll be a lot of extra work to create new models for sure, but it'll be a lot more interesting to play completely new levels.
