It was me. Come on man, I'm sure you can figure the tunings out yourself. Are they not what you need? Bc I don't think asking for more clean guitar samples is necessary if the only reason is bc you can't tune them out so I'm sure it's bc it's not what you were looking for right?

Oh, it was you. I thought that might have been the case, but I couldn't find anything on the topic in my PM inbox. Yeah, those samples are good, but I don't have the tuning for any of them. (Though to be honest, I'm not even sure if it's possible to figure that out...it seems to be somewhere around $02 $98, but how do you tell?)

use the multiplier and sub. options to tune it to c, then hit + and generate amk table
Well, since I stepped out of the idol, does anyone know of any tubular bell samples or anything that can replicate a percussion of a song? Here it is, btw:

Yes, but there is no way to tell if the pitch is exact or not.

I am using this with BRR Player.

(A speaker for your computer and a Android Phone / Tablet with microphone is required)
Hmm, just curious: are there any good brass section and distortion/overdrive guitar samples that dont need any kind of tuning or anything to sound good? Or if not possible, what is the tuning command for the X2 instruments of the same name? Tbh, its being REALLY tough to cover fighting game OSTs because either the MIDI translates like crap or the instruments just sound really bad on the melody, so I`m on the verge of giving up tbh.

really, can't you tune them yourself and instead are looking for entirely different samples

Tunings:
Code
	"dist guitar.brr" $XX $YY $ZZ $0F $2F
	"overd guitar.brr" $XX $YY $ZZ $05 $06
	"brass section.brr" $XX $YY $ZZ $05 $1C

Well, I didnt know the proper tunings up until now, so that`s basically why. lol

Also, thanks a lot! Now to see if I can manage it from here...

If you don't really plan on using the echo buffer for echo you can use it as an enhancement.
Conversation about clean guitar samples was going on and wanted to join the fun. Think these sound pretty clean. 6kb fun.
Hmm, could anyone help me for some great SNES synth samples? I have X2 and X1 synths, but I dont think they are great enough for ports that need actual synth (since tbh, the ``synth´´ in X1/X2 doesnt sound very... synthy tbh, especially since I KNOW the SNES can do better). If there isnt any good SNES-specific synth samples, are there any synth from soundfonts that I can extract and use them instead? That`s all.

Bruh, the term synth is very broad in itself considering a synth is just various oscillator combinations to produce a sustaining sound. Be specific, like what kind of synths are you looking for? Saw, Brass, Sine, Square, String etc. Do note, if you're asking in game synths they're quality is already set, but if you need custom ones, the low frequency ends (like the saw synth from the MIDI font), won't sound like how you'd imagine when converted to brr. This applies to all synths that have that nice deep crunch(?). If you have wav samples you already have in mind, just PM me and I'll convert those.

Yeah, I`m talking more about sawtooths, squares, sines and triangles, actually. Sorry that I didnt specify before, but that`s what people mostly associate the word synth with so, yeah. XD And sure, but what do you mean by ``convert´´, exactly? Is it converting those instruments I mentioned (from, say, X2) to a more synth-like sound? I dont think that`s the case here, right?

Convert as in .wav --> .brr
BRR is a form of ADPCM (iirc) and is lossy compression. Crunchy and real nasty saws, not unlike Winter mentioned, don't exactly port well on the SNES. Aside from a mild loss in quality (brr) the Gauss filter just kinda smears crap on anything not 32khz or greater.

Might any of these be what you're looking for? Albeit the looping on
fatsaw
is terrible. Using FL Studio (which I know you have) you can generate waveforms. The files are already looped but included a txt for porters.

Yeah, sorry, total brainfart there. XD And yeah, I think those`ll be enough. Now to see if I can do anything with those... If anyone has any other kinds of synth instruments (namely basses and maybe amen breaks if the Drum`n Bass percussion pack I got doesnt work), then is it possible to share? Because tbh, I dont have any kind of synth samples that actually sounds synthy (the only bass I have that sounds like I want is Kirby`s Dreamland 3`s synth bass, but I dunno if it is what I`m looking for. I know DKC2 has a bit of a similar bass (which I think is in Mining Melancholy), but I`m not sure if that game really has a bass like that or not...).

In addition to Mega Man X, have you looked into Mega Man 7? It has a synth bass, synth strings of a sort (samples 32 and 3A in this), a sawtooth, synth brass (09 and 2E here), and a square (0F here). I think there is another square and another synth brass in there as well. Do any of those sound like what you want?

Well, I do have MM7 instruments also (though I dont use them as much as MMX`s), but they also dont sound synthy enough for my tastes (the synth bass may be pretty close to what I want, but other than that, I dunno tbh). They ARE pretty great for some other stuff, though (especially the squares, though I STILL opt in using X2`s most of the time), like what I did in my National Park port so yeah. XD

How about you use FL Studio's synthesizers to create a synth you like, cancel out any echo or reverb it has, set it to have its ADSR all maxed out so it can endlessly sustain, make a c5 note play, export as a wave and I'll teach you how to convert said wav sample to a brr (sample you can use when you make SPCs) using a the C700 vst plugin. This way you can get EXACTLY what you want, try not to go to overboard complex on your synth tho as this will make it big and or will make it lose more quality to make it possible to use.

Something like this could mandate a thread on it's own. Doing the same allows me to optimize file-size vs. quality since doing it yourself you know your space requirements. For me with an avg. sample size of 4kb I can go about higher delay times with space (for sfx) to spare.

Then yet we can always keep it a "secret" trade.

Hmm, maybe later. For now I`m trying to make a sampled port of Romancing SaGa 3`s The Last Battle (mostly because of MaxodeX`s unsampled port on it, so I`m giving it a shot at making a sampled port), so I`m a bit busy at the moment. Plus its late now and I gotta go to school tomorrow so... XD
