If you were to completely rediscover a band after forgetting everything about it, so that you may re-live the experience, which band(s) would you choose?

It's either Rush or Vocaloid for me (yes, the contrast is astounding, haha)!

hmm. I think that Lemon Jelly was the first band to really open the doors of finding my own music, so maybe them because it would technically lead to all the music I ever find.

Other than that, not the band but the song When You Sleep by My Bloody Valentine was an absolute game changer for me (it was and still is my favorite song ever), and the intense feeling of like, this is the best thing ever holy moley i felt after hearing it for the first has never been matched by any other song I've heard. So that song specifically.

id probably wanna re-discover kashiwa daisuke, primarily program music 1. that album was a fucking wild first listen. never heard anything like that before.

if i could rediscover a genre though, itd have to be harsh noise. like, i hadn't heard anything that even sounded like merzbow before but i was like, 15 and while i wasnt too terribly in love with it as a pleasurable experience i was just fascinated with it as types of sound i had never heard prior

I wish I could feel again what I felt when I discovered them.

It was like 8 years ago. Knowing Men In Black and Fresh Prince Of Bel Air's theme songs, I decided to search if Will Smith had done more music (no, I had no clue) and so I got all the albums and started with first one, first song: Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble. I probably listened to that song like 50 times a day everyday

Then discovering all the other songs. Gosh that was so good.
Now I listen to it, love it, but it's just not the same.
