Or, in other workds, since it's out now, it finally deserves a thread or something. :p I can't believe this took me over a year.
Hope you enjoy.

"This archive is either in unknown format or damaged." Damn, I really wanted to play this... I loved TSRP1.
EDIT: Also first comment FUCK YEAH

Mario's Nightmare Thread
OHMANOHMANOHMANOHMAN.

Well, there goes my day. :D Can't wait to finish it and tell you how it went.

I'm excited.
Wow, I remember playing the original hack back in the day. :O

This new version looks extremely polished and fun to play. :) I love the graphical style seen through the screens, great to see you stuck to one style ;). It's great to see someone going back and improving on their earlier work. Kudos to you, FPI. :)
Finally, it is out! I can't to start playing it. I love what you did to the graphics.
People are probably going to snap at me for this but...

There were some things to this that I didn't like. The new graphical style is really beautiful but it seems really, really dark and real for a Mario game. I've also never reaslly liked the style of Koopas you used. The Thwomps are really cool though.

Don't get me wrong, the style is cool, but it doesn't really seem fitting.

As for the music. Some of it I liked, alot. And some I hated. I did not like the music for the ruins at the begining. The castle theme and the boss theme are both beautiful though.

Overall:
I know you put alot of effort into this, and it really shows, but some things just didn't come out well or didn't fit.

These is just my opinions though.
I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.

Really? Neat! This is my favorite SMW hack ever! Even though I haven't played it!

(No, I won't snap at you, but I like less-cheery tones in Mario games. :P)

I was waiting for this to come out for quite some time now. I didn't want to play TSRP2 until I finished the first, and I'd rather play through something like this than the original. Time for me to break into The Second Reality Project series. ;)
Does this mean I can finally post Youtube videos? :p

Ok FPI, which levels would you like to see? Time to get cracking!

Edit: Is it just me, or did you make the bullet bill 'surrounded' generator appear earlier in Koopa Lake 1 (wow, that was a really specific question o.O)? I think that was a good idea.

It was great, that is, until it took a shit in the ghost house. When I went through a pipe, it took me to a blank white screen where Mario died. Brutal Mario did this to me as well, but all I had to do was view the level in Lunar magic and it would somehow fix the problem and appear correctly in-game. Too bad this hack is locked, so I CAN'T fix the problem. When I tried using RLM on it so that I'd be able to do that trick, it killed almost all of the Exanimation and corrupted many of the levels.

Secret World it's easy to find... ^^

And I think that whene you find the secret world the game become too easy... 1 elevel and i can teleport on second castle??

For all the rest... GOOD JOB!!!
@Parabuzzy: As said in the readme, don't use ZSNES 1.4*. I would say that's your problem. Opening the hack and saving the level won't do the hack any good, it just "moves" the glitch around, and after a couple of tries, you've made the hack unplayable at all. Believe me, I had a hard time getting this out of TSRP2 and it just didn't worked... thanksfully at the same time I released the hack, ZSNES 1.50 came out as well, and yeah, the glitch was gone.

@AxemJinx: Sure go ahead. About the levels... why should I force you to do specific levels? Do what you like. xD

About your other question: Yes, you're right. Damn, you notice everything! xD

@TooManyToasters: Hm, since it seems to work for everyone else, I guess that's a problem on your end? Maybe try redownload it, or get it from my website instead? It's in a rar-archive there, so maybe this do the trick.

@Dagx: I don't have a problem with your opinion at all. But most of the stuff mentioned is a matter of taste anyway, like the koopar graphics. When it comes to icegooms graphics, the koopas were always some of my favourites. There were others I didn't liked, but in that case I'm using SMW's graphics.

And about the dark style: With the exception of the last world maybe, I don#t think it's that dark,... and when it comes down to that, I think SMB3 does a very good job on that as well. ;)
But yeah, overall I won't mind your opinion, the hack everyone likes will never exist anyway.

@all: Thanks for playing! ^^

Hey, I like the gamegear version music of Labyrinth Zone you made! It's a bit slow though.

WOW! Graphical style is beautiful! :D

I don't think you need to play the first one first. I played TSRP2 first and TSRP didn't lose any of its awesomeness from playing the sequel first.
AWESOME! This is finally out. :D
I'm playing this right now.
I'm so glad you finally finished this. It is amazing.

Also, now you have more time to focus on TSRP3.

You may want to download TSRPR directly from FPI's web site (or download it again). Sometimes web browsers quit downloads prematurely and you'll end up with partial and corrupted downloads.

I'll give TSRPR a test run on both Snes 9x v1.51 and ZSNES 1.51 tonight on my XP SP3 machine.

the RAR archive can be opened in either WinRAR or 7-Zip. then the IPS file containing TSRPR can be extracted from the RAR file.
Wow, I'm having the perfect day today.

Wow, FPI, this is absolutely amazing! Did you draw most of those graphics yourself? If so, then you're the Best Graphics Designer Ever, next to Icegoom! The Music sounds really good. I even recognized a few tunes like Koopa Beach and Super Mario Land 1-1.

I love this remake. I Can't wait for TSRP3, keep up the awesome work!

FPI's better.
I just wish you'd make more publicly available ExGFX... ah well. I love the graphics so far, although you did take quite a bit of redrawn things, and I've never liked that style... Music was nice, but I didn't like the OW theme...
Also, why do koopa shells die when I hold them and touch a "used" question-mark block???
<-- this is the dope on dope
Wait, FPI hand-drew those ExGFX? I'm not too sure... he ripped a lot of ExGFX from other games in TSRP2.
...Also, I got up to the sixth castle and found...(spoilers)

Edit: Don't worry FPI, I'm still gonna play the hack as usual.
