Ultima`s Randomly Timed Port Batch Thread

Well, here`s a remix I made. Its basically a medley of Pluto`s theme from Megaman V (Gameboy), containing both the stage select theme, the stage selected theme and Pluto`s theme. Hope you guys like it! XD

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LH0VpctKXho

I`ll release a port of all of these themes, though, just need to wait until C3 is over. XD

EDIT: Btw, go here for my better ports unless you want to cringe or get your ears exploded. That`s all.

Well, I havent really found a way to fix the loop on my remixes yet, and since I am too lazy to check the text file, here is the SPCs, along with a few extra remixes I made (that being Megaman 6`s Knight Man and Megaman 10`s Strike Man):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/nfkjoxs2jb5mlo5/Remixes.rar?dl=0

EDIT: And here`s a MMX styled Charge Man remix as well, just because:

Here is a Seiken Densetsu 3 styled Holy Land from Megaman Zero 4, where I actually try some new stuff like putting vibrato on the strings and panning some instruments:

Megaman Zero 4: Holy Land (SD3 Style)

And
here
`s the Youtube link.

Tbh, though, I am REALLY loving this instrument set so far, though some instruments I have (like choir or panflute samples, along with some others) are VERY high pitched, even when I tried some FF6 samples and it STILL was like that. I wonder why... XD

Here is another one, this time its Our Blood Boils from Megaman X7 (probably one of the only good songs in that game):

Megaman X7: Our Blood Boils (Sigma 1st) (MMX Style)

Here`s the Youtube link as well.

Also, I just noticed that I havent put the samples in the .zip files that I put for upload. Well, its fixed now (I hope...). Sorry! XD

Just gonna put this here...

Punch Out - Fight (MMX Style)

Youtube

Fun fact: the first version was actually me trying out a method to replicate X2`s synth lead sound by putting the same square waves, but two of them being out of tune, but I wasnt too succesful. But, it did sound pretty good, so I am uploading this version here too. XD

Well, I know that its kinda sudden, but I am working on a soundtrack porting project! And its actually Megaman II (GB)`s OST! Why am i doing this? Well, to be fair, the Megaman II soundtrack for the Gameboy wasnt actually bad, just the song being REALLY high pitched and some dissonance in the notes. The melodies itself, however, arent actually bad at all. Heck, its probably one of the most underrated OSTs in all of the Megaman series so, I think its worth it for the whole OST to recieve a SNES remaster.

Now, about the samples I am gonna use, I dunno... I mean, I was wanting to make it just on a Megaman X style, but other samples would probably be way better. And that`s when I need someone`s advice about this. Here is the themes I have done so far:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w5yx9zxp617eo7u/AABlMZPPrZIdLrXiNj1ECq_ea?dl=0

Basically, I have done the title theme, the password theme, the stage select and boss selected theme, and I have done Air Man for the first robot master. What do you guys think about what should I improve? XD
Layout by Mathos
Well, I have FINALLY got this project done. Now, every song from Megaman II for the Gameboy is fully remastered in a Megaman X style (yes, even the unused ending theme). Even included the text files and the samples for you guys, already prepared to porting and neatly organized for better searching. Here it is:

Well, here is some other MMX style remixes I was planning on releasing earlier but couldnt because of the project. Here they are:

Journey to Silius: Stage 1

Pokemon R/S/E: Team Aqua/Magma Grunt Battle (MMX Style)

And here`s a Remake Collection of my earlier remixes. This pack contains a Solar Man remix, a Bass (MM7) remix, both a Metal Man and a Quick Man remix (MM2 for NES) and a Tomahawk Man remix.

Also here`s a Grenade Man remix I made today, and here`s a Gene Gadget remix I made as well.

Wow, the F-Zero one is making a clicking sound which is not pleasant to hear. The sample seems like it was not looped properly.

Hmm, which sample is clicking? I looked at the SPC again, and I didnt see any sample clicking (and I know my samples are properly looped this time). If you are talking about the distortion guitar, its what happens when you play it in higher octaves. Or is it the snare? XD
Layout by Mathos
I put at 50% and 25% Speed and Pitch in the SPC700 Player and I can still hear the clicking.

How I did it?

1. Settings

2. Hover to Pitch and then click Always Sync Speed if it's not checkmarked already.

3. and then click the slow button thing.

I listened through the MMX and MMX2 soundtrack and I didn't hear a distortion guitar doing a click.

EDIT: Also, how did you move the SrcAdder?

Huh, I didnt know there was some clicking there... probably because that the distortion guitar sample I got was from someone else... thanks for warning me about it, btw! I`ll try and rip the sample myself now (since I`m afraid that if I take out the clicking in programs like Audacity or GoldWave, it`ll probably remove the loop as well), but I dont think the clicking here is that apparent so I dont think I`ll change it just yet.

The clicking won't remove the looping, the looping is the position of where it should loop in the waveform. For the ripping it in Audacity, you are better off doing something like this. You get the SPCs about MMX and other SNES games in here and then you have to follow the instructions in that thread. Just drag the SPC into the C700 plugin. It will do the looping automatically for all samples perfectly.

Megaman X8: Primrose (MMX Style)

Super Mario Kart: Rainbow Road (MMX + MM7 Style)

Also, here is two WIPs (which is probably gonna take some time before I finish it):

Megaman ZX Advent: Soul Ablaze (MMX Style)

Megaman ZX Advent: Divine Hammer (SNES Style)

Yeah, tbh, I have no idea why it is like that. XD

See my edit above your post, BTW. But I would say it again here.

Yeah, now that I see it properly, that`s probably SPC to MML not converting the SPC well enough. Is it fixable, though? I`ll probably get on to this when I get enough time (Since my cousin is here, and he wants to use the computer so...).
