Just played the demo. It's pretty good, a lot better than my old hack, that's for sure. I like the way you introduced the whole raccoon enemies in the second level.
A few things that could be improved:
- The placement of the Yoshi Coins is... bland. They're too easy to get most of the time, and the obstacles that block them aren't difficult to bypass at all.
- Maybe I just suck or something, but the first level starts off a little annoying. I know there was the warning in the message box, but that first mole still sort of caught me off-guard, especially since the message sort of gave me the impression that I should just be expecting rocks or something only, not bombs as well. The stage smooths out after that though.
- What is the point of hiding the status bar in the second level? There's a message box telling me about it at the start, and the level is named based on that fact, but it doesn't seem to be very important in the stage... as a matter of fact, if it wasn't for those, I probably wouldn't have noticed it was missing in the first place
- This one's the least important. Why is the third level called Aqua
-Coulee when there's barely any focus on water in the level other than like the first few screens? Just felt like pointing that out
