It works fine but you forgot that Rip Van Fish is on GFX06 and explosion on GFX 02, both use SP4, you must provides a GFX with both graphics in the same GFX, also some recommendations, the explosion happend so far to the player then is very hard that it will hurt mario, also could be nice if the fish make an animation before explode (for example stop and flashing) because it explodes without advise.
