The disco survival is kind of ehh. I don't care about the clouds, but I do care about the flashing hurt block graphics. Just something more basic will do imo
The disco survival segment isn't really the best, considering that you can just avoid the baseballs by not bouncing too high...
I'm not a fan of those invisible blocks holding certain sprites either; sticking with the diamond-like blocks as you did would be more obvious.
I literally just remembered that this was a thing, so I resumed progress on this!

Current status: Hard

- I'm now using-you guessed it-tile 1F0. It's pretty dandy when you can combine it with ASM. For directional-coin-related reasons I'll also keep the original diamond-shaped blocks.

- I finally got to that Goomba-killing block I was talking about. It's the glass blocks in the fourth screenshot.

- The new blue blocks are actually blocks that bounce the timed lifts, much like in 1F8 from JUMP.

- I also decided to add GreenHammerBro's one-way blocks (also in the fourth screenshot), so that's a thing now.

- One thing I'd like to add is that I moved down one of the Pitchin' Chucks in the disco part to make it actually dangerous.
What are those directional coin related reasons you're referring to? lol
If you're talking about a blockade, then you could always either only use the diamond blocks there or resort to other non-solid blocks that make them stop.

I'm not a fan of the appearance of some blocks honestly, especially the one that bounces the timed lifts. You could remap and maybe darken them just so they have more of a fresh look.

the directional coins are only used like 2 times, in the beginning of the level. I had to use the diamond-shaped blocks to let Mario through but not the coins

and yeah, a lot of blocks are just using placeholder gfx, I'm not planning on keeping most of them the same
Good news! I've finished quite a bit of the level. For now, though, I'd like to share a gif and some screenshots from Lunar Magic!

I also stopped using placeholder graphics. Although you can't see all of the changes right now, the first screenshot below shows the change made to sprite-only bouncing blocks.

bouncing timed lifts, lol nice I love this
I dig how busy your level is so far, especially with those bouncing timed lifts~
What's that random fireball in the penultimate screenshot for?
Glad the bouncing timed lifts are receiving some love

@Katerpie that's just something you spin jump off of in an earlier screen
