Welcome, one and all music porter and composer alike! You have stumbled into the wondrous and melodious thread that is the year of 2016's Annual Idol! A competition between all who token themselves the title of "Music Enthusiast"! Many will come from all around, but only one will stand victorious! Will you overcome the daunting, challenging tasks that has been prepared for you?
My name is Skewer, and I will be your host for this year's 8th Annual Idol!
Contest Rules
• 1. Entries should be sent to me via PM on this site, or alternatively via e-mail, using the address in my profile. They must be in a compressed archive (zip, rar, 7z), containing the text file of your music, the SPC and all the additional samples that were used, if any.
• 2. Your entry must work with the latest AddmusicK, no exceptions will be given.
• 3. You are not allowed to share your submission, or identify yourself with said piece, until the results for the current round are in.
• 4. You must follow the limitations I have given to you as the challenge.
• 5. There will be no time extensions offered, if you need an extention, ask for it. It will however, result in point deductions. You will be told now that rounds will last two weeks each; every other Monday will be the deadline date.
• 6. You must work independently. You are not allowed to collaborate with another user.
• 7. As with last year, no automatic porting programs. This means no NintSPC, CapSPC, SPCtoMML V1000, etc. Note that MIDI conversion programs are exempt from this rule (this means you're allowed to use TinyMM/PetiteMM/etc).
• 8. You can not collaborate with another user, as you can not port/compose actively with another user. You are allowed to use/receive resources from other users and friends, but your MML must be produced on your own.
>>>> Voting : After Note Deadline, Voting will be open until the Following Monday of the Deadline.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules will result in point deductions. Breaking Rule #3 will result in your unfortunate disqualification, which I hope to not have to see. Lastly, there are no exceptions for breaking these rules.
If you feel compelled to participate, and also feel you can confidently follow these rules, then please step on up and join in...
