So I'm making another level for this thing.

In this level, Yoshi will be using dat ass to twerk pound the ground.
Isn't there a level in 4-2's place already, Lake of the Lakitu by GeminiSunfall?

Regardless, this level must be pretty cool! Can't wait to see what else you'll expand on with this.
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.
4-2 is empty after the rearrangement. Check the "Proposed Order" on the spreadsheet in the planning thread.

Looks great so far GY - great idea for a gimmick too.
Oooh, ok, I see. I never noticed that at all...

But yeah, looking good, Golden Yoshi! :D

Really glad to see you making another level for the project, GY!
Awesome to have you on board again!
Oooh, loving the level so far and your cunningness, Golden Yoshi. Based on SNN's proposed order, it fits theme of the world nicely. A few things bother me though...

-The split paths with the sand blocks underground...I'm a little uneasy on that. If there's red coins on one side, then choosing the wrong side can mean an instant failure of the level. If they are on both sides, then well, people can either use it to cheat out all the red coins or may not know how to get both of those coins. I'd recommend reworking that part.

-Those instant-kill spikes are deadly even on their sides, and that's really fucking weird. They aren't really meant to be used like that, so maybe reworking that somehow so you don't just die by walking into the side of them would be suffice.

-That background's pretty cool, although the mountains could use a custom palette to fit the atmosphere of the HDMA gradient, and the level/world, seeing as so far, it sort of has that Horror theme to it.

Other than that, I can't wait to see your next section! So far, so good!

You can go back and access the other side of coins on the split dirt path.
I could tell, though I still don't like that section...

Any comments about my other comments, then?

Well what do you think should be changed about that section?

Also I wasn't aware World 4 was horror-themed, I was told my level theme could be pretty open. If it really is strictly horror-themed I can switch up the background and palettes.
I don't know what you can do about those spikes, or that background.

Also, the theme can be anything you want, really, but I was just throwing out my suggestions. Nevermind that though, I was being both the freak I am of throwing out my two cents and saying that before realizing that this level would likely be switched elsewhere, and SNN's proposed order would not come to be.

Do whatever you wish for the level. If you want to take my suggestion despite the listed risk above, go ahead. I'm just being that typical "it should be this way" freak that I am, and I really got to stop doing that all the time. #w{xD}

Only the second half of world 4 is ghost/horror themed. Yours actually fits in really well with the first half's mountain-themed levels.
That is true, but this level feels like a good transitional level, if you ask me.

Nice use of those ground poundable soft layer 3 things. That's sure to create some interesting puzzles while you go on with the level.

@Golden Yoshi: Nice level you have here! #smw{:TUP:}
Level is ready to test. Please play and let me know what you think.

Managed to find everything except for 2 flowers.

EDIT:

Extra red coin in this stake.

Stats after first midring.

It's actually possible to pound down this stake from the side when the launcher is still on top of it, funnily enough.

Stats just before second mid-ring.

The ice melon here is really difficult to nab.

Stats at the end, completely missed two flowers somewhere. Collected 21 red coins due to the aforementioned extra at the beginning. No clue what I missed, unless both flowers are hidden in sand blocks.
Thanks I'll fix that stuff up. As for the flowers:

At the beginning of the level, stand on top of the two poundable stakes with the Blow Hard on it and hover on top of the high ledge to the right and keep going to find a flower.

When you see the yellow Baseball boy, push the Chomp Rock behind the blue bush and have him hit it across the dirt pit. If it reaches all the way to the right, and hidden ? cloud will appear with the flower.

In the secret entrance, pound the stakes at an even level to the wooden platform on the right, then push the Chomp Rock across to reach the flower.

In the secret entrance area, after getting the other flower, pound all the stakes to the bottom, and push the Chomp Rock to where the left-most stake was to make a hidden ? cloud appear with the flower.

In the area with the Support Ghost, grab the ice watermelon, and use it to clear the Bullet BLaster blocking the passagway up ahead to grab the last flower.
