Are pit hacks technically kaizo hacks?

This might sound like a dumb question, but it's something that I've been wondering for a while. Most of the time, I've seen pit hacks being referred to as completely distinct from kaizo hacks, but to me, a pit hack is basically just a kaizo hack on steroids. In conclusion, I think that all pit hacks are kaizo hacks, but not all kaizo hacks are pit hacks. So what do you think about this?

I think pit is Kaizo cubed. Kaizo is is deliberately unfair but can be done savestateless eventually, like IWBTG or the Sans fight, hard Kaizo is a Kaizo version of that with circus performer stunts involving items and enemies and more complicated puzzles, and I think of pit as a Kaizo version of 'hard Kaizo.' The only reason I use 'Kaizo' to refer to platform hell hacks/segments myself (no matter the difficulty) is because I'm just used to it. I don't really want to tho.
Even hard-type Kaizo has more of a following than what we call 'pit.'

Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
I think of pit hacks as even harder versions of Kaizo hacks. They are deliberately distinct from the latter due to how they emphasize a lot more on extreme difficulty and complicated stunts and may take weeks to get beaten if you're not experienced enough or don't watch a video of its intended solution. You can play Kaizo hacks without savestates, but it depends on the hack and whether you can endure getting past the same level for hours.
Generally, pit hacks are not as creative as Kaizo: Hard because there is so much focus on just making something as hard as possible.

I was thinking of the Mario Maker equivalent the other day. People keep talking about the hardest level or whatever. People could just put 50 mid-air shell jumps in a row, which would be pit-style imo
Pit hacks are technically kaizos, because you need saving and saving to finish this. Pit hacks are different due to specific glitch abusing and frame perfect Muncher jumping.
Any reason as to why 7 Up has different logos in USA and the rest of the world?
If you have to use frame advance for the majority of the time, there's a good chance its a pit hack. At least that's how it seems to be.
I'm not too sure, but isn't a pit hack just taking a kaizo hack and then making everything like a billion times harder, requiring frame advance, hundreds if not thousands if not hundreds of thousands of rerecords, and a crap ton of time and effort to be beaten

as opposed to a regular kaizo hack that can be done without tools?

Yes, they are technically kaizo hacks, but a difficulty not for the faint of heart. It's hard, you have you use the whole potential of the game to make really hard moves. Tools are required to even make the hack playable.
