That one song you begrudgingly like even though you dislike the artist

There are certainly bands or artists you would never be caught dead saying you like, if asked what bands you like. But I'm sure sometimes there's just that one exception out there...

Kid Rock - Bullgod
I beliebe

i'll think of more later, this was triggered by hearing kid rock on the radio LOL, normally i immediately switch it off but i kinda like that song!!
I used to like Azealia Banks untill I found out how bad of a person she is. I don't really know if that counts since I 100% stopped listening to her afterwards. It's hard for me to listen to music from someone I don't like, I have to like the person or else I juat won't be able to get into it.

I guess there are expects though. I don't hate, but dislike Rihanna aince she seems kind of brainless, puts no input into her music, and not to mention has a really bad discography in general. Doesn't mean I don't like spngs like Umbrella. I guess that fact it's hardly "her song" helps in this case. The same could probably apply to other generic pop stars.
hmm... I'll never outright deny that I like a song, regardless of the band. I try to stick by my guns, or at the very least, sheepishly laugh it off.

However, if I was the kind of person that would get embarrassed by stuff like that, oh god that would be a fucking huge list lol. Let's see:

Well Blink-182 are my favorite band. that's probably a kicker. I also really like the one Angels and Airwaves album, I-Empire
It would be like 100x better without autotune, but Only God Knows Why by Kid Rock is a pretty great song
Gin Blossoms - Follow You Down is just one of many 90's radio hits I listen to regularly. My favorite (and the cheesiest) would have to be Bodeans- Closer To Free.

and then there's the stuff you just don't want to be associated with, like noise rock like Lightning Bolt or, to an extent, Garage Rock like Coachwhips (volume warning). Just the stuff that isn't really representative of my personality, but it's still there.
e: ill have to edit my list if i think of anything particularly bad lol

and who can forget le Internet Medley (OVER 40 MEMES IN ONE SONG)
ask me if i give a f*ck...

maybe a bit of a niche example but ya. the arkells are like, generic as fuck indie rock shit and theyve gotten pretty big here but theyre fucking boring to me. this is the one song by them ive heard that actually has some level of emotion/energy in it. a little too u2 sounding for my taste still but ill listen to it.

I unironically enjoy "Hotline Bling", despite thinking Drake is harshly overrated.

I'm clearly not here to turn you into an Arkell, but idk, i always thought Pullin' Punches had some good energy to it. There are a few others from their first 3 albums that stood out to me (of course i dont remember them, lol, i know the last tracks on their albums were usually good). im also biased because i live for generic as fuck indie rock shit

and personally, I'm a huge fan of Private School. Only the chorus though, but really getting to the chorus makes the rest of the song tolerable for me.
Lights and Owl City are two dudes I probably couldn't go off and brag about listening to.
and for coldplay, idk, i really really love their song Talk. But I also personally wouldn't be embarrassed to claim I like some of their songs. (although if you ever want to look like a real cool cold kid, just say Chinese Sleep Chant is your favorite coldplay song #w{=D})

nah i mean its not even flipped at all and its literally the most memorable thing about the song. sampling is cool but it backfires when all it does is make me think "damn i wish i was listening to computer love instead".

Gonna be honest here, there's a good number of Fallout Boy songs I could search for where I love the Guitar portions of them, even a bit of the other instruments, but I just completely despise the vocals and lyrics in general. This is further solidified by a supergroup called The Damned Things which had the Guitarist and Drummer from Fallout Boy in along with people from other bands such as Anthrax, Volbeat, and Every Time I Die, this group I really enjoy, particularly for the guitars.

To sum up the shit I've said. I'd actually like Fallout Boy if it wasn't for the lyrics.
coma white & lamb of god are actually pretty good by marilyn manson
yah lamb of god's prtty cool, if you're into that kind of thing.
Demon Hunter is the lamest band of all time hands down but i like some of their catchier songs I guess, if just for the humour of it

lol tbh I kinda like that, sounds very throwback for me to the days when I liked Taproot etc.
Kanye's version of Harder Better Faster Stronger is pretty good. I can ignore the fact that he's in arrogant douche when I listen to that song.
im a sucker for cheesy shit and key changes so my Nickleback song of preference is Far Away.

I always meme-post Untitled by Simple Plan but I'd be lying if I said I actually didn't like it.

they sound almost the same anyway
Forgot about this one until recently, but I actually really enjoy Kayne West's Stronger. I mean, 95% of the time I listen to it I try my best to ignore Kanye and just listen to the beat, but I suppose that still counts.
