I've had a really fun experience with this hack if I do say so myself. It mixes regular level design with Kaizo philosophy and manages to not just keep a consistent pace, but doesn't become frustrating after all. I get how the hack is appreciated due to that and how it can be easily done without savestates even by those who don't usually play Kaizo hacks.
However, one of the downsides I found in it is how there are some noticeable breaks, like in Victory Road where you can basically fly through the entire last room after collecting the star. It's not like it's going to affect the hack as a whole, but it's worthy of pointing out. On the other hand, another downside is how you place midpoints extremely early in some levels which could've either introduced them several screens later depending on their length or not need them altogether; Your Friend Bill is one instance of that.
At the ghost house, I wandered through every available door in order to find the solution until I opened the editor and finally found it (the coins to your left in one of the identical rooms also gave it away). I'm faced with a glitched version of the first half afterwards - not to mention there are graphical issues in that room too, which imo was quite unfortunate. I don't know whether that was intentional or not.
With that said, I'm considering on featuring
this hack despite these nitpicks. What do you think?
