By the way, the level that levelengine posted is really, really good. It's got good design, it's very clever, and the palettes are cool. Kind of surprising that the same guy made the atrociously difficult monstrosity that I was playing yesterday, but whatever.
Also, is this Christmas Gift going to be delayed to 2017 or even 2018? Most large collabs, such as JUMP, Morton's Empire, SMWCP, SMWCP2, etc. of this size take about 2-3 years to finish.
No problem man. And yeah level looks awesome so far levelengine. And yeah I delayed it a while ago realizing quickly I wouldn't finish in time. Im going to give it to him when everything is done and polished. So take as much time as you need. Activity has been low from me as I had to recently wipe my hard drive so I need to recollect some of the levels from the creators and figure out where we stand. Ill make an update in the next few days when I get everything together. Thanks for sticking with this guys!
Nope you're not too late. Ill mark you down for it. You can choose any levels and sublevels ill change them if I have too when you send it too me. And yeah you can use custom music just inc;ide the txt music file with the level image files when you send it to me.
Yes you can use all of that. You can use tileset-mixing, custom palettes, custom music, and mixed and matched sprites. You can basically use and manipulate anything that is already in the game. Just don't bring in custom graphics or sprites that people have made
This is what I have so far. The gimmick is basically where Mario jumps on Drybones and Thwomps over spikes while avoiding the "oil". However, this may not fit with the level theme. Feel free to move this to another level or, just tell me to scrap it. I really hope not tho
I would like to mention that the castle signs (the ones that represent each world number by the castle), are incorrect. There seems to be TWO world 1s, making every other world number incorrect as well. For example: in the level list, you have the ice world as world 5 in the level list, however in the overworld screenshot, you have it as world 4. You should probably fix that to avoid confusion.
Wareflare love it so far. I may put it in a different spot based on the theme but no need to scrap it. I will be able to fit it somewhere. Yes yoshi, the castle signs are incorrect in the image. Go by the level numbers in the written portion as those screenshots were taken before I fixed them in the rom. But the written portion is correct. And awesome Stiviboy Ill test it out in the next few days.
I'm sorry, but my inspiration to finish that level has quite diminished. The gimmick just isn't working out there are too many unfixable issues . If it is possible, I'd like to take Lost Woods 4-6 instead. Sorry again for wasting your time.
