Alright, I believe I've ironed out all the wrinkles on this one (except one, ill get to that). This is P.A.U.L., and ask those who have played it, its bizarre. This here is the final version, unless any game breaking bugs are found but I haven't found any yet. If enough people like it, i'm gonna submit it for moderation.

Due to some problem with events, the last 3 levels are open to play at your will. Also a sparkle glitch at the end, but other than that nothing game breaking.

'You somehow made your way into possibly the nastiest smelling place in the galaxy. Not sure what lies ahead, and just longing to kick back in front of your TV, you run fist first into the muck splattering everything in your way. Guzzling Red Drink powers you up to fight like a warrior, eating Small Fries will power you down to sneak into small spaces to collect hidden munchies. If the mutants deliver a beatdown that you can't handle, slam a Green Drink to recover.
'See that USB port on your arm? Connect a Flash Drive and open file "K:\poly.exe" to fire up your Polyrhythm Cannon, and crank out some heavy firepower. And if you happen to find a Berzerk Pill, you will slaughter all that stand up to you. Now get outta here, I'm sick of lookin atcha. And cut your damn hair!'

Looks like a very interesting hack, but I'm not gonna lie, some of the palettes in the screenshots really needs some help. Good job nonetheless.

I remember the Flipstack level in the VLDC9 collab hack, right?

Yeah, the palettes are kinda offzputting in regards of wanting to play this. Not saying your hack is bad, but the screens don't sell your work too well. Your effort to making this yourself is commendable and I wish you reconsider leaving this the final version of the hack, at least on an asthetic point of view.

I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
I had tried numerous times to make backrounds that didn't stand out all crazy but couldn't get anything to look good. So on a lot of levels the land in the FG and BG are differently shaded for effect. If anyone has any ideas I'm listening.

So let me get this straight, I still have 20 more levels to do from Cannons onwards?
I honestly underestimated the length of this hack, and it's kept me busy.

Many of the palettes are awkward (intentional?), but when foreground objects such as ground or pipes are in the background, it can confuse the player, and the animations on some of the background objects only make it more distracting (say everything flying in the background in the Facility level).

Not to mention, I had trouble finding two of your doors (beginning of Sludge Lift and near the end of Southpaw Style), as they're all one solid color, and when the door and the background are almost exactly identical colors, the player might think the level's a dead end, or it's broken.

Well, Paul's still a breath of fresh air from all the hacks you play as Mario, and the laser cannon is a really good weapon. i'm impressed you can shoot while ducking too.

Thanks homie! Its a little lengthy, good thing you can save after every level :p

The palettes are awkward only where they need to be, mainly toxic and space world. I'm working to tone down any unnecessary distractions, so the palettes and the issue with the doors will be included with that.

Edit: about the solid doors, I had this in mind when I made them one solid color. Probably just gonna make it a door :A

The flying background in Facility is part of the fast paced gimmick of the level itself, but I'm pulling out another fast BG scroll sprite that is later in the game.

If you downloaded the IPS from the original wip thread, I would download this one because there's a chance Galactic Escape's event won't trigger and you'll be stuck in space forever.

Duck shooting is easy, just takes a little creative hex editing :)
