lx5 thread - may contain asm - Winter 2017

Welcome to my thread which clearly I didn't make it in five minutes.

I made a fully customizable hud that uses sprite tiles.

It currently includes:
- A two digit coin counter
- A two digit lives counter
- An item box

Optional counters:
- One digit yoshi coin counter
- Star coins collected

Nice, this is just what I needed for my hack, a custom status bar that's compatible with your star coin patch.

I'll test it in a while, if I find anything weird with it I'll let you know.

Updated the patch and the first post.

I only added some information about the Remove status bar patch in case you are running into troubles with the item box's item not appearing.

New status bars are always a nice thing. The original, the DKC one and the minimalist are kinda overused by now in my opinion.

Heck, I might even use this.

Ah I think this is looking really neat. Seems to make the status bar more simple and less crowed while still having some cool features.

There's an issue with the Star Coins: when you collect them, their counter won't show up if you have the status bar disappearing after a while. I tried checking the patch and there's no line to set their timer. It'd be appreciated if you could fix that.

Other than that that's a really great status bar patch! Really wish it'd appear when you pause the game or press a button but it's still really great as is (aside the SC issue)!

Looks cool so far! I'm a big fan of score and yoshi coins so this isn't exactly relevant to my interests, but it's still super neat! I love that elements that aren't relevant (the lives counter) disappear when they aren't needed, while the coins stayed on screen.

Yeah, that's because the star coins needs to set the timer for the SC counter on the status bar. You could send me your SC blocks and I'll add the fix for that.

Maybe I should update these to make them to work fine with SA-1 and add this function...

It's a (kinda) long level that feels rather short that I made for a contest in Fortaleza Reznor (spanish talking smw forum), I was supposed to post this a while ago, but Terraria is an addictive game.

Here's a small video (some people may have seen it before in the screenshots & videos thread).

BTW, message boxes are in spanish because I'm kinda lazy to translate them, basically they say how to perform a Ground Pound and a Wall Kick.

Here. Although they're pretty much the blocks included with the Star Coins patch, and untouched except for the defs file (which might be needed?).
